| Yes. It's not about facilitating drama, it's the real issue. Stolen data from non-consenting artists aside, it has an environmental impact as well. Not many people are even aware that each lazy prompt for a stupid advice or to generate a perfect waifu is adding up to power consumption, causing more drainage of water resources to cool down the generators used by AI. Just because something is free and easy, doesn't mean it's actually free or okay to use. There is always a catch and people should always think twice before happily jumping on a bandwagon. |

| Oil paint considered harmful, those fancy and easy to use chemical abomination kills artists who practice the art of composing color from plants and eggs. Folks, first I really don't care what people here think, and second the only constant in art is the rapid change of technology. Each new technology (e.g. the electric guitar in the early 1960s) creates a hype, a lot of trash, and eventually becomes a normal tool for artists. Thus I'm ignoring all the AI discussion, it's wasted time. I like what I like, and the technology it was made with is irrelevant. |

| @inim This is a total Red Herring. The critics of "AI" (young or old) are not against technology. This AI program is a method created by $corporate $billions to steal content (written and pictorial) so big corporations can eliminate more overhead and increase their profits: "Hey look! We don't need graphic artists anymore we have AI!" (which just steals everyone else's graphics) "We don't need to pay writers anymore! We have AI!" (which steals everyone else's writing, and creates fake articles & reviews) "We don't need to pay anyone to monitor that property/system we have AI!" (which uses algorithms to replace the human's job) And it rapidly increases its reach, exponentially. I don't think electric guitars could multiply themselves this way..... It's the one technology that undoes all the others. It won't make your life ANY easier, it just steals everything and wants to turn you into a customer-for-life for some product. |

| Artist like to overreact with AI (And anything really... I have seen incredible work just to be ruined with a big "DO NOT REPOST" crossed in the middle). AI is just bland, and it will never surpass people works, because AI art will just be an amalgamation of styles while one artist art is full of errors and ways to depict their art that will be their own style. But to answer your question I dont think you will be a villain, but you will be more bland than people that actually put effort on it. |
