| In Japan, the new animation will be available 1) on Blu-ray as a crowdfunding backer reward, and 2) at planned in-person screenings. At the time of writing, Japanese crowdfunding has reached ¥1.87M (~$12K USD) in pledges from 67 backers with 120 days remaining in the campaign and a goal of ¥25M (~$160K USD). (※it is stated that the project will proceed even if the goal isn't reached) Production is scheduled to begin this December with the aim of finishing around April-May 2026. The original cast will be reprising their roles, including Kikuko Inoue, Soichiro Hoshi, Yukari Tamura, and Ayako Kawasumi.
