| Yano definitely has a more complicated past than people realizes, especially tracing back to his days in middle school. No surprise that Kiyoko tries to help him in the best way possible. She's shown through time over and over before so the season finale was no exception. What an episode and series overall. An underrated dark horse of comedy and school days. Imo, it's a anime worth watching. |

| Decent end to what has been an entertaining show. The dynamics between the two main leads had this charm to it that kept me invested and there was a little bit of an absence of that for understandable reasons, but it's good to see that they were back to their normal selves by the end. Okamoto-san turning out to be the cause of Yano-kun's curses didn't come off as overly surprising but that store room scene where she made that comment about better friends and whatnot did raise my eyebrow a little. Yeah, that almost came out of nowhere lol. Those appeal attempts to bring back the friendship with Yano-kun was hilarious though. Pretty typical of the series now. | “Yano-Kun, your eye isn’t cursed. It’ll bring joy to anyone who sees it” ahhh I’m going to miss my babies so much 😭 this was a perfect finale for the series with Yano’s friends asserting the joy and happiness he brings to their lives is worth ANY inconvenience his injury predisposition might bring! It’s basically the entire point of the story summed up in one beautiful episode, only complaint is we didn’t get a kiss! If you think about it, Okamoto is the single most important character to this entire story thus far. Without her showing up and talking to Yano, we never would’ve got that backstory nor would Yano’s insecurities have been fully assuaged. He needed to confront that and move forward. It kind of makes me sad tho because in another world, Okamoto and Yano would’ve been a nice couple. She’s a sweetheart and so awkward I love her. She reminds me of Komari from Makeine! The fact losers in middle school talked shit and spread rumors about Yano for no reason pisses me off tho. I went to school with a dude with heterochromia and it was just normal, people actually thought it was dope at first and then we just got used to it lol. WAIT HIS EYEPATCH CAME OFF BUT WE DIDNT SEE IT??! They’re teasing so hard smh gonna make us read the manga to see what his full face looks like lol. Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s like the last panel of the manga or something. This was such a fun and cute watch though. I really don’t have any complaints other than not getting a kiss, but Yano grew a lot, Kiyoko made strides and this supporting cast was great. I’d wanna see more Hashiba and Izumi for sure! |

| The school festival certainly setting a precedent for Yoshida holding pinky with Yano, though with him finally meeting his junior high classmate Okamoto, to then be left alone for the two to discuss private matters, what's going on between them? Yoshida's curiosity eavesdropping on the two's private conversation to talk about the past, it's not like they're close friends at that, though something about the "curse" sure worries her enough that Yano relieved her of her worries that it's nothing significant. Yet seemingly enough, it's the clumsy behavior of Yano's in junior high that got Okamoto's attention, and somehow as kindred spirits that understand each other, and her asking about his heterochromatic eye to allow a short glimpse as a worry of people thinking that he "cursed" for life, the station turns awry when even his own class started a new batch of rumors about his right eye, even to the point when Okamoto had to transfer away from school. To Hashiba, him seeing Yoshida and Yano act the "same same but different", even the latter avoiding him like the plague, Okamoto clears the tension for both Yano and Hashiba, though helping him "wipe away the trauma" by sticking close to him like the usual, and even getting him involved in matters that would put him on the centerstage, he's just that awkward even when everyone is trying their damndest to help him out. Still, the entire affair was not his fault to begin with (though he was blamed the victim on baseless neglect), and Yoshida and the clique embracing him to nurture his new and better high school life, alongside Okamoto making new friends, it's business as usual with Yano's clumsiness being a blessing, and Yoshida finally being able to see his beautiful heterochromatic eye. A simple show, but its rom-com foundation solid for a good watch. |

| Okamoto is far from a bully and she's actually such a sweet girl. Glad that I was right about her..❤️ So Yano just believed that his right eye was cursed.. how pure and innocent he is !! 😭😭 I wish we had seen that magic eye when Kiyoko got to witness it accidentally. The final episode ended quietly with nothing big happening. I hope we get an announcement for season 2. This was a hidden gem of a rom-com this season. I'm gonna miss this anime so much. |

Just like that?! I thought there was one more episode left 😭🤣 at least Yano was finally able to be true to his feelings here at the end and be on the same page as everyone else. Once again, I am very happy I hopped on this anime better late than never. I just started it a month ago 🤣 great wholesome heartwarming romance SOL. I love how we didn’t have to wait the usual long time multiple seasons or season finale before we got any sort of romance confession or progress 🤣🙌🏻 Yano and Kiyoko progressed so fast it was amazing. Kiyoko’s reactions are just the best 🤣👌🏻 Poor Hashiba couldn’t get Kiyoko but there’s still hope with that other girl 👀 same with Okamoto too, but at least she’s finally friends with Yano. Gonna miss this one!  |

| Learning about how Yano was treated in middle school really makes you appreciate how kind and warm-hearted his eventual high school gang (and girlfriend!) ended up being. The montage of everyone's "un-depress Yano" strategy meetings is hilarious but speaks volumes about the kinds of friends they are. It's fitting that a show starring an injury-prone MC ended up being a very "healing" story. |
| Overall a solid show, kinda wish the early confession would have changed their relationship more, but lime it's often the case it didn't really (in the sense that they were just as awkward with each other before and after the confession). But I still give it a 7/10, definitely worth watching. |

| And so we end with Yano-kun revealing his past trauma regarding a cursed right eye and his friends helping him conquer it. This series was a solid 7/10 level good. For the most part it felt light and breezy tonally, definitely feel-good, but if I'm being honest also somewhat forgettable. Had I seen this before other, similar series like Shikimori-san and Kubo-san it might have felt more unique. As it is what seemed to stick out the most to me about this was that weird artistic choice to occasionally, but not always, have thicker-drawn mouth lines...yeah. Make of that what you will. But I still liked this and would certainly watch more it we got it. |

| Loved the finale. I feel really bad for this Okamoto girl, though. I thought she was Tsuyoshi’s ex who hurt him back in junior high or something, but all she ever wanted was to be friends with him, yet she ended up being ignored by him. I’m really glad she joined Tsuyoshi’s friend group. I also wish we had seen Tsuyoshi’s right eye. Plus, a lot of characters with clear chemistry still haven’t gotten together, like Yuudai and Izumi, and Haruto and Mei. I don’t know, this finale kind of felt like a normal weekly episode rather than an actual finale, so I really hope we get a second season. |
| what a shit finale, I couldn't have imagined a worse or more boring last episode. The only alternative I can think of that's worse is the show getting cancelled and the last episode never airs. Just when I was falling in love with this show they drop a meaningless last episode, the backstory of his eyepatch and the whole episode is wasted on clearing up the "curse". It was obvious it wasn't going to get a proper ending at around ep9-10, but this was worse than I ever expected. What a shame it was adapted in such a bad way, they should've ended it before introducing Okamoto, what was even the point of introducing a new character in the very last episode? It could've been 11 episodes and no value would've been lost, it also could've been 13 and maybe it could've been adapted in a way that gives some kind of closure. Because let's be honest, they won't make season 2 for yano-kun's ordinary days, they didn't make one for sign of affection and that was basically the same show but a bit better. |

| This was an absolutely delightful ending. Let's see, this season ended in the middle of volume five of the original comic, and a week ago the twelve volume came out...that means that the stock of original content is ample so they totally should greenlight a second season of Yano-kun! |
| This light romcom story managed to keep me interested until the very end. It's a shame it's over, there's certainly still a lot of story that needs to be shown. The addition of Okamoto's character also opens up a new storyline from Yano's perspective in his middle school days and I'm even more curious about their daily lives at that time. Hashiba and Izumi also need to be paid attention to, honestly I'm really curious about Izumi's feelings for Hashiba. Even though we don't get to see that much now, I'm sure it could be a good story if it could be shown more to people. Overall this show is very wholesome imo, Yano and Yoshida are really adorable with each other even when they're both clumsy but of course they will slowly grow as a better couple, considering they haven't been a couple for long. |
| I checked it out, and it's definitely an adaptation with the same angles, although I'm more interested in what Yano's mom looks like, considering that his dad has the same crazy clumsiness, and if there's any resemblance to Yoshida and I'm glad that Okamoto wasn't left out at the end and was also invited to join her friends for a bite to eat. All the characters are charming, and there isn't a single annoying flashback. I give it a perfect ten and want a second season. |
