| 1.) Clevatess OP (while maybe not individually as great as a one-off phenomenon or destined to be iconic in the short lifespan it has registered thus far, arguably a more appropriate and fitting tune and opening intro for a dark fantasy sword-swinging series than Kenpuu Denki Berserk's now-classic one ever was) 2.) Yofukashi no Uta season 2 OP (I first just want to say on Kijin Gentoushou - Despite making it as my second favorite new series of the spring season, I never particularly cared a great deal for or was wowed by either of its two OPs or its second ED. The only one of the four intro/outro songs and segments which I liked to any significant degree, surprisingly so considering its style/genre, was the first ED, and that was the only one I listened to most or all of every single episode I watched which it was attached to. Now, that being said, I didn't by any means hate any of the rest of them, let alone the second OP featured here which was probably the next best, so considering that and the fact that I dropped Yofukashi no Uta after the first season, I definitely came into this match with a heavy bias and inclination toward automatically leaning into and expecting to vote Kijin Gentoushou, no question. But that Yofukashi no Uta OP, one I've never heard or seen any of before today, stunned and blew me away more than anything other than perhaps a limited handful of others have ever done in one of these tournaments. Doubly so considering it's not my type of music, and to the extent that it actually makes me semi-seriously consider un-dropping and resuming the series at some point; a true rarity). 3.) Isekai Mokushiroku Mynoghra OP 4.) Ame to Kimi to OP (I actually found the series a little disappointingly sparse and lacking in music which would have really elevated and accentuated the atmosphere and emotional sense in some scenes and moments, which was a little unexpected as both its OP and ED were soothing and on point) |
