One of the defining shows of anime has finally come to an end after nearly a decade. Overall, the my hero anime experience could only be described as a roller coaster. An exuberant fanbase to say the least, some very high moments along with iconic scenes, mixed in with some lowlights that clear the potential to ruin the show. The last ep was a classic and fitting ending that I thought ended the show in a satisfying but not mind blowing way. The end of this show left me with many thoughts of anime as a general also as its ending signifies that we are in the end stage for this generation labeled as “new gen”. After all, new gen arguably was started with the 1st season of MHA. MHA no matter if you thought it was a masterpiece or hot garbage, you cannot deny the fact that this show shaped anime into what it is today.

10/10 season and the best ending in all of shounen anime.
Anyone who has a problem with Deku can bite me!

I'm so happy Mirio got his chance to shine as the top Hero!!!

Idk what to think about Shoji and his mini arc.

End of an entire generation!!!!!!

I knew I would cry and did ;-; I feel sad while I think about Deku powers, but I am happy how he ended.

I know there is a epilogue chapter after this I wonder if they will adapt later.

The series overall had a a lot of highs and down. But I love when a big series like this get a full adaptation. 9/10 for me.

Also older Todoroki 😳

I wanna share with y'all something personal. I don't watch anime as regularly as I used to, during Covid or even before Covid. In fact, there's been months where I haven't seen any anime. But every year, when My Hero Academia came back with a new season, it used to bring me back to watching anime, like I fell back in love with anime all over again. But now that MHA is over (at least the main, canon story, I know Vigilantes is coming back next month with a season 2, but I haven't finished its season 1 yet, it just wasn't as interesting as the main series to me, maybe I'll finish it before season 2 starts), I don't know which anime I'll be looking up to ever year. I have been following MHA since it began in 2016, so for almost a decade now. I'll miss this anime. 10/10 PLUS ULTRA.

This series has been the most enjoyable piece of media in my life and has genuinely inspired me to make my own stories and be better. I'm a little sad that the bonus chapter was not animated into the season but I am still insanely happy to see the ending, I loved chapter 430 in the manga and the anime didnt just do it justice, it honestly feels even more impactful than the manga did. Thank you Horikoshi, Studio Bones, all the animators, writers, VA's, etc. This is a show I will never forget and has brought me nothing but joy.

It's been a long journey of BNHA that has finally come to an end now. I still remember watching my first episode such a long time back, only glimpses, though. But then again, that's when I fell in love with this show. Over time, it has been consistently making me happy. Seeing how all class A characters have grown up to become great heroes, seeing the story come to a close beautifully this way really gives me immense joy, satisfaction, and pleasure. I'm really happy I joined the BNHA train. I feel love. ❤️

I remember the night when Funimation (when they existed) hyped the very first season. Season 1 probably still remains my favorite season but this season concluded the story in the way I wanted to see.

10 years of MHA really says about the franchise itself. There's still the spinoff but the mainline show always felt more exciting. Horikoshi's story with Deku, Bakugo, the heroes, etc ends here and it felt appropriate. Any longer than this felt like it would've overstayed its welcome. Going to miss MHA. PLUS ULTRA!

After 9.5 years, MHA finally comes to a close...

Hawks wanting to change the Hero Billboard system so that the negatives will not outweigh the positives, as the world turns back to normal with any chance of villains being vanquished before they start wreaking, thanks to Izuku's efforts in motivating the general public - a society where heroes are not expending their resources to fight evil.

From the very beginning, Izuku and Bakugo's rivalry, which paved the way for everything that came forth as Izuku retains being U.A.'s one of many homeroom teachers after going back Quirkless, alongside Spinner leaving his legacy publishing his own book as one of the final remnants of the League of Villains, and Class 1-A going into 2-A, and then their eventual graduation from U.A. with Iida being valedictorian for his closing speech, with One for All's usage...not quite done yet.

The new generation of heroes influenced by everyone involved in the war against All For One, and one such student of Dai wanting to enlist into U.A. as a hero, when they're not needed in the 8-year timeskip ever since to branch out to their own work aspirations. This is all happening while Aizawa and Izuku remains the same in U.A. to live up to the promise of nurturing future heroes, alongside the All Might statue that still remains much a symbol of hope as ever, as Izuku can only hope to encourage people through his story...

...if only All Might didn't appear as a surprise passing One For All's technology to Izuku to progress the Quirk further.

The story of how they became heroes as we watch them grow from strength to strength, this is not just MY Hero Academia, but OUR Hero Academia.

A great tribute to finally see Class 1-A evolve into the heroes they are today

A near-decade affair for MHA's time as a TV anime series, what a fitting end this is, even if the manga-turned-anime ending is somewhat lackluster.
@KANLen09 I hope you are right with not being the true ending. Im not disapointed, i loved this but at the same time i felt disapointed (allow me to explain why furder). Last paragraphe if you want go straight to it.

Its been a ride, i was (still am) a shonen "child" since the 90s. So, always liked long term shonen anime. I started to see MHA after "You say run" theme started to "trend" on anime circles around like 2017/18? There was already 2 seasons (i actually feel things changed alot since then in anime department, but that is other story), MHA to me felt it was like the "next Naruto", diference is, it was a season format compared to shows like Bleach or Naruto etc i was used to.
I watched it, really like it, but cant say for someone who watched Dragon Ball, Naruto etc it was something revolutionary, never truly connected that much, loved the 3rd season and the United States Smash scene but between the ending of that season and until the start of this one, i didnt see more because the season format it turned me off, didnt help also that i think s4 was the weakest to me. Still i kept seeing news about it from "the outside", seeing fan arts and such and wanted to finish the story.
I also loved the values it give, good heros tryng to save the world and Deku character inspired with the greatest Hero, to workd hard and be the greatest hero.
The world is more complex then people give credit, specially seeing from the outside, themes like War, genocide, descrimination, domestic violence, organized crime, flaws of the heros etc all in there.
I read the backlash of the ending last year and was kinda disapointed with the ending, despite not fully read it. Still planned watch the end, hate unfinished storys. The last season was coming up, so i give a review of the first 3 i watched and watched the rest. And it was then i started to connect more after a years of "pause" and felt the journey.

The problems i have with the ending. First, i feel its kinda... Well disapointing they didnt mention more the heros that died, like Midnight, i felt she was kinda forgoten, not even some type of flashback and she was so central in the story. But the main disapointement goes... Why they didnt animate that scene? I think for people who read the manga knows what im talking about. Unlike most, i feel last episode wasnt a good moment to be "romantic" despite beeing a good sweet moment, but why the lack Uraraka and Deku? Whats with modern autors being afraid of pulling the triger on ships? He kinda did in the manga and hyped for 9 years, why the hell this 11 episode season doesnt have 12 and expand on that? Would it kill to give a FMA or even Naruto ending? (heck Deku and her had more moments then Naruto and Hinata lol). Hope they do a ova or even a movie about it.
Also, there was no true goodbye for OFA, i felt they should had have a moment of a "better" goodbye.
What i liked this ending. It felt realistic, the Todoroki family ending felt so realistic that it hurts, very well written, most villains outcome, despite trying to redime and understand where they came from, they had to "pay" and payed for what they done, which to me, despite the positive message on this series, its very good. I loved it showed a happy ending for everyone, im a sucker for happy endings and romances (the disapointement was the lack of romances). Maybe the manga this was rushed, but in the Anime was very good and i hope "that" scene and more gets animated.

In general this is a very good series, it took the mantle the big 3 left (despite OP still being around), brought a new stage to Shonen Anime and it was a fun ride, the series had ups and lows, but never was bad unlike some of the internet tried to point out. I loved the positive message behind it (specially these days with real world problems and age of edgy or dark characters and stories).
To me is one of the greats of shonens, despite at first not being fully all in. It will be strange knowing its no longer "around".
Like i said, hope there is a movie or ova, it wont make sense not to.

What a journey it has been, from watching the very first season back in April 2016 to watching its conclusion over 9 years later. The experience watching this series grow and grow has been incredibly enjoyable. Even during the weaker parts of the series around season 5, I stuck with My Hero Academia, believing that it would spring back up from those lows with strong moments later on and, thankfully, it did.

Seeing the epilogue and looking at what Midoriya and his friends are up to 8 years later was great. Midoriya becoming a teacher at UA was perfect for him and it looks like the class he's in charge loves him a lot, even if Aizawa thinks he should be more strict. XD

Same goes to seeing All Might (Or Old Might knowing that he's in his early 60's now) appearing and giving Midoriya a chance to help out his friends with the same advanced technology that helped All Might in his fight against All For One. The end credits was nice as not only we get to hear Bump Of Chicken's song play in full, but it went into detail about what everyone is up to 8 years after graduating UA.

While I do look forward to seeing more of the Vigilante story next season, this is a proper goodbye to the main series itself. It has been a blast and one that I will remember fondly for years to come. =)
@Meta_Yoshi funny that if we think about it, the start of the show until now its like 9 years, the time skip in the show was 8 years, almost the time we started to watch and ending.
Also felt the same, s4 and 5 to me were the weakest part but the show never was bad unlike some people on the internet wanted to make.

And yes, Vigilantes surprised me how good it was, it showed this world of MHA has potential to continue even if isnt the main cast.

I do hope this is not the true goodbye though, i want a ova or movie with the "ship" scenes. Seems its hard these days to give characters the FMA ending. Im kinda sad its no longer around "out there" but better end in a good conclusion. It was a fun ride and to me, a show that shows good old positive values of the heros, its good to have that cheesy happy ending.

And its finally over. God I love it when series parallel the beginning and its done great here.

I see Deku x Uraraka didnt officially end up together but I was expecting that. My head canon is they did.

Also its funny cause that All Might smashing the 'The End' Im guessing is a nod to the fact the author made another chapter cause people were unhappy with the ending. (At least thats what I heard happened as I never read the manga)

My Hero Acadamia has been and will remain my favourite shounen/action series. The whole true hero theme, characters, and action were all 10/10 and absolutely loved it. Currently me and my friends are doing a My Hero Acadamia tabletop campaign using the Marvel system so Im gonna re-watch all of this from season 1 come january to re-experience the beginning. Might even give the Vigilantes series a try for more My Hero goodness.

Knowing that there will be no more. I'm... not... crying... Damn it.

One thing that irks me though, Why they pushed Uraraka's love for Deku only for them to not end up together in the end.
@AnimeJunky This season has transposed up to chapter 430 of the manga, there is one chapter missing which will probably be announced with an OVA.

I've watched this since the first or second season came out. It's been a ride. I love the experience of consuming media for so many years that you grow alongside the story you love.
I remember manga readers being mad at the ending, but unless anime changed something, I think this was a good ending. One thing that's kind of annoying is that Deku and Uraraka didn't end up together. I don't even care about romance too much, but at some point during this series it was pushed very hard so it's just a bit weird it ended up going nowhere.
But well, yeah. Thanks Horikoshi and thanks Bones!

I've always said it, and I'll always say it; loneliness & rejection create the worst of monsters whether it's in anime or in real life.
So, for granny to, despite her fear, hold that kid's hand, is the best way to stop the creation of a new villain.

BNHA IS A FANTABULOUS ANIME that will remain in the hearts & the memories of so many fans.

Love you forever Horikoshi Kouhei for writing the manga for this & Bones Film studio for animating it.

That was pretty rough. Can't say I enjoyed the last 2 seasons all that much. The pacing was so off it felt rushed but also it needed more time to breath for certain themes, backstories, and character interactions. I liked the idea of the ending for the most part. Good to have some closure to this.

I'm a sucker for time skips. It was really good that they gave us a rundown on how things were going 8 years later. One thing that I liked about this show was that it never seemed to be stuck focusing on one person but made it about a community. It felt that way to the very end. While I don't have as deep of a connection with the series as many others, I enjoyed the ride and it's nice to have such a pleasant ending.

Overall, it was a great season; we watched a fantastic show throughout most of the eight seasons. However, I would have liked Midoriya to become the number one hero in the end and receive the praise he deserves. Additionally, I would have liked to see Midoriya and Uraraka in a relationship. I also wish the finale had included a few more additions instead of strictly sticking to the manga.

Peak ep

The portion of the trapped kid was done well and funny enough, the granny was smart enough to not reject the one in need, this time, which shows some calm development.

Deku Sensei is REALLY REAL. IM SO DAMN PROUD.

These little anime additions really help the reception of ch 430 and give better closure.

Deku's aura really is unmatched. He got mad fans lol. His inspiration is simply beautiful, like just 8+ years ago, he was in that same predicament.

OK DEKU, WE BREAKING THE 4TH WALL NOW?? 🤣

The way his new hero suit was animated was great with the cgi.

Bro pulled up trim in that whip with AM 😤

Real ass friends despite the troubling schedules, but he's finally back to true hero work. Damn, there was sum homage to ep1.

https://x.com/kamifacts/status/1999809899048358160

This ep adapted the rest of ch 429, 430 and left out the final panel, and used the double spread of 431. With that being said, 431 will be fully adapted later on, considering that a part of it was used in this ep.

Last time that I felt like this was prolly Naruto. Such a beautiful journey of about 10 years has come to a end. Thank you MHA and Horikoshi.

yeah, i figured he would go the Iron Man route. ya can't ignore the classics from America's Silver Age of comics. i did think it was kinda... goofball... that his power-suit's exterior design is basically a carbon copy of his penultimate hero suit as One For All's final inheritor. why not think up something new instead of just making the old hero-suit look like a wearable mecha?

well it is over n done with, at least for me. i doubt i'll even attempt that Vigalantes show. no matter the seriously rocky and messy parts in the past... i do think this is going to be a benchmark anime that defines the media from now on, "If you can't make it at least as good as My Hero Academia's WORST episodes? Get gud and improve!"
