Assuming in their sign-up post they have listed avatar/signature as Demon Slayer, and that is their forum avatar/signature, you can use it. Their actual MAL profile picture has nothing to do with this challenge. Which is what I'm understanding they're asking about?

Some kind of miscommunication/misunderstanding here maybe? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding?

Is this okay for (49) Watch an anime that has at least 3 words in the main title that start with the same letter:

I'm looking for an anime that fits this entry: (74) watch an anime where the same voice actor is credited under at least two different characters (main or supporting). Preferably from my "Plan to Watch" list, but it's fine if it's not on there. The entries are starting to blur, so I might be missing something, lol.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but better safe than sorry, and especially since the challenge is gonna be done in order. This is regarding "(45) Watch an anime that has an English number (10, ten) somewhere in the main title" in the Tarot Cards challenge. Would https://xss.now.cc/anime/19111/Love_Live_School_Idol_Project_2nd_Season be fine for this, even though it would be read as second and not as a number when read out loud? I'm assuming it's fine since the number 2 is in the title, but just in case.

Real dumb question time but I don't want to find out I did something wrong later... for #60 it says watch something less popular than 418... does that mean a lower numbered rank or less popular i.e. a higher number? In this case I watched Mashle which is listed at somewhere around 1500's. EDIT- And to make question even worse... 1508 is the ranking and #325 is the popularity.

Mashle is not valid for #60 - we're looking at popularity here, not ranking, and it needs to be 419, 420, 421 etc.

Also a suggestion for the Official Club to have a collection/link of all previous years banners. Some hosting sites don't host forever and I've had to go long way looking for still working banners for the previous years after my preferred banners broke.

Hey for "(9) Watch an anime featured in a 2025 AWC participant's forum avatar or signature", can you watch the second season/movies of an anime?

i.e. a user has Anya from Spy x Family as the featured anime in their avatar (and it isn't even from a frame from season 1), can you watch the Code White movie or Season 2 instead of Season 1?

(67) Watch an anime that has an Inanimate Object as a character

For this is it okay to watch something that animeplanet (the site with the inanimate object tag list) has a character entry page for even if MAL doesn't? E.g. Watching Chainsaw Man for Kobeni's car

Super stupid question: I usually follow the AWCc rule of everything has to be at least 15 mins total time, does this apply to early challenges, because I don't think I've ever seen anything said about it before? Unless it was for a specific item and then it specifies length.

@Marzipan-Goose If the item does not specify minimum length, it can be any length. If you're not sure, check Challenge List with Explanations.

Hi. This is my first time participating. I signed up 2025-03-25. Can anime in"on hold" be moved to "watching" if it fits the prompt and has a start date
of 2025-01-01 -or later?

Yes, you can use anything you started in 2025, even if you placed it in on-hold in the meantime.
Also remember that your Challenge Start Date should be the day you started watching the first anime used for the challenge, not the day you signed up. :)

For Plinko, after completing tier one, is it OK to use an anime that you started before any of the anime you used for tier one, but finished later than any of them (so most seasonal anime)? Or is that not allowed?

• Anime must be started and completed in Tier 1 before you can begin Tier 2, and the same rule applies for progressing from Tier 2 to Tier 3.

  • An anime completed in February (even if it matches a Tier 2 or Tier 3 prompt) cannot be used because it was finished before Tier 1 was completed.
    
    If Tier 2 is started on April 1:
    
  • An anime that was started before Tier 1 was completed, but not finished yet, also cannot be used for Tier 2.
    So in this case, even if "AnimeA" was started in January and finished in April (after Tier 1 was done), it still wouldn’t count for Tier 2 because its start date was before Tier 1's completion.

It's listed as DAN DA DAN (3 separate words on both Netflix and Crunchyroll)

Hello! I have a question about one item. In item 66: (66) Watch an anime that has a main character tagged with Hot-Headed or Selfish on Anime Planet (character must be listed on MAL). The character I found is listed as a main character on Anime Planet, but it is listed as a supporting character on MyAnimeList, would it count as a completed item if I use this character?

It won't count, the character has to be listed as main on MAL.

For "(62) Watch an anime with a popularity lower than #4240 (total duration must be at least 16 minutes)":

Does it have to have finished airing before you start it? The item desc doesn't say so but it does have a "[Popularity When Started: ]" bit.



Also, for "(46) Watch an anime that has a one-word main title"

Does the (upcoming) Gachiakuta fit? Its "English" title is one word (no spaces) but it's a romanization of its Japanese title which is multiple words
