| @SansyMon I see you liked spy x family. In that case you might also like Buddy daddies they both feature an unconventional family dynamic with cute kiddos. While spy x family got a little absurd at times, I feel like buddy daddies is a bit more chill but still has many good comedic elements : )) alternatively, Somali and the forest spirit is easily in my personal top 20. it shows the relationship between an orphan child and a forest golem who takes on the role of a father. it's a story about learning how to love and it's adorable. the only downside is that the anime is not complete and as far as I know, won't be getting another season. Season 1 was still great tho so maybe check it out if you feel like it as for me, I've been in the mood for something chill lately. No fighting scenes etc. so maybe a relaxing slice of life? Or something cute! I feel like I haven't watched much of this type of anime |

I've been making some recommendations back and you got pretty similar and good taste so here are some shows I think you might like: - Violet Evergarden ( my favourite show so I might be a bit biased but it's a masterpiece ; amazingly beautiful animation and direction ; very well done character driven story ) - Ranking of Kings ( amazing set of characters surrounded by a very well written story and world ; do not let the PG art-style fool you this is a harsh show with amazing action and animation ) - Paprika ( very creative and unique movie in terms of direction and art-style/animation ; classic Satoshi Kon movie with crazy developments and pace - which you might have noticed in Perfect Blue ) Hope you like them if you come around to watch them and feel free to comment in my profile what you thought (or for anything else)!! :) |

| To @Orsisa I did a quick check on your profile page and interestingly, have found out that we both have a special liking to "Natsume Yuujinchou" as the series is on our respective lists of favourite. So with that in mind, I would like to recommend you a SOL/Iyashikei series named Mokke which also has similar themes/contents- e.g. supernatural events, yokai folklore etc. with a good blend of mystery and chara dramas. It's not as dark as Madoka but it also stars a magical girl who discovers her world and circumstances are not what they seem. Like Madoka it keeps you intrigued by its mysteries as you put the pieces together on what's really happening. |

| @ConstantReader I noticed you like Madoka Magica quite a bit! Since you like magical girl anime with heavy topics, I recommend Shoujo Kakumei Utena. It's a magical girl anime from the 90s which explores heavy themes like abuse, sexuality, freedom, religion etc. The animation isn't the best but it's worth watching for the writing, message and symbolism. I'd describe it as a love child between Shinsekai Evangelion and Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. I love it so much I'm currently rewatching it. Hope you like it <3 Be sure to watch the movie, Shoujo Kakumei Utena: Adolescence Mokushiroku, when you're done with the series. |

It’s a beautiful mix of heartwarming romance and emotional depth, just like Fruits Basket. The story follows Futaba, a girl who reunites with her first love after years, but things are a bit more complicated this time around. The characters are so relatable, and the ups and downs of love and friendship really pull you in. Enjoy watching! π |

@ClarissaIssy Based on how well inline our ratings are for action/adventure and comedy animes (I loved Hinamatsuri), I'd like to recommend you Golden Kamuy. It's a little similar to the setup for Hinamatsuri in the constrast of characters. A former Japanese army guy teams up with a regular Ainu girl to seek out a lost/hidden Ainu treasure. I think it perfectly combines food/gourmet, comedy, and action/adventure to be entertaining/goofy without falling into brain-rot territory, while simultaneously being exciting without becoming too serious.

| @HaruhiZ Based on genres you mentioned and your favorites include Kaguya-sama: Love is War, I'd like you to try His and Her Circumstances. Early on the premise is similar where both leads are top of their class and try to outdo each other. However KareKano has heavier drama than KaguyaSama it does go a little bit deeper with characters especially later on. For me if anyone can recommend me a cool sci-fi show which is not on my list ? Thanks! |
