WHO?^^

Also…
At least explain why you think that is. Actually argue a point xD

Otherwise all you‘re doing is posting 4 images, without anything left for discussion…

@Merve2Love
The differences are obvious, I don't have to explain.

Cool, so you're making a thread bringing up a meaningless topic that was only relevant five years ago.

@Boogiepop1989

uhmm...yeah, okay...there are differences. They are not major, but I can see that, okay.

But I assumed you wanted to talk about those^^
You made a Thread. I thought you wanted to tell us what it is the design lacks and what you did to improve that, no? Wouldn't that make for a better discussion, that way?

Or is beeing a jerk about it outweighing having a conversation about the topic YOU started? If so, I just didn't get it and I apologize^^

Nah, you are completely fine. You should not start a thread vaguely and then only add on "the differences are obvious" there are many, many, many absentminded folks in the world who will think nothing of the first post or the follow-up.

Guess I can be that person since I am here already. They are most likely referring to the fact that the original conveys Boogiepop in a much more grim light, yet more properly shows her gloomy personality better. From the more interesting outfit to her more composed expression. I also enjoy her hair parting much more in the original and it was during the golden years of Madhouse, so it is glistening with a nice sense of uniform.

In fact, this may have actually inspired me to go back and finish the original series. I put it off due to other things catching my attention.

Oh, I See.
And I thought two of these were actually fan-made images that he created.

Thanks for giving this some meaning, at least.

I‘ve only seen the 2019 remake. Wasn‘t really aware of these different tones and thought it was just a matter of old vs new animation Style.

@Merve2Love
All 4 pictures are official/original images.
In the 2019 anime not even the yinyang symbol and the ribon were included, it's horrible. Also the anime overall is bad. I only like the 4 episodes adapting Boogiepop at Dawn.
From a Boogiepop fan since 2003.

I mean it's no secret to most fans of the series that the newest anime flops in a moderate amount of ways, but it's still generally well animated and adapts untouched material, and it's likely the cause for a moderate amount of new fans to the series. Regardless, people should be reading the light novels more than anything. Phantom is great sure but it's also its own thing.
