 Production company Sotsu opened an official website for the television anime adaptation of Janome's Tasogare Out Focus (Twilight Out of Focus) manga on Monday. The website also revealed the main staff, additional cast, and a key visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2024.Cast Jin Kikuchihara: Makoto Furukawa (Cool Doji Danshi) Giichi Ichikawa: Masatomo Nakazawa (Given) Rei Inaba: Takuya Eguchi (IDOLiSH7) Shion Yoshino: Souma Saitou (Sasaki to Miyano) Staff Director: Toshinori Watanabe (Bungou to Alchemist: Shinpan no Haguruma, Edens Zero 2nd Season) Series Composition: Yoshimi Narita (Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu., Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san) Character Design: Youko Kikuchi (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu: Die Neue These, Kuroko no Basket) Studio: Studio Deen Janome began drawing the boys love manga on Kodansha's Honey Milk magazine in June 2018. The first and final volume was released in June 2019. A first sequel manga Tasogare Out Focus: Overlap (Twilight Out of Focus: Overlap) began serializing on the same platform in May 2019. The first and final volume was released in August 2020. A second sequel manga titled Tasogare Out Focus: Long Take (Twilight Out of Focus: Long Take) started in August 2022. The first volume was released in July 2023. The manga also received two spin-off manga, Zanzou Slow Motion (Twilight Out of Focus: Afterimages in Slow Motion) and Yoiyoi Monologue (Twilight Out of Focus: The Evening Monologues), in December 2019 and 2020. Kodansha USA licensed the manga series in English in February 2022. Yoiyoi Monologue went on sale digitally in December 2023 and physically on January 16. I'm so damn happy that we're getting so much BL anime this year. Previously, it was lucky if we got 1 BL anime in a year. In 2024, we got 1 per season, which is great 👍.
