There was other leak some days after infinity castle 1 that some team that worked on it had been moved to work on mahoyo, so it may be true, still we are talking about leaks, so we can't trust entirely, let's wait to the new year's stream and see, still this is kinda exciting at this point, if they are doing that quality on DS I can't wait to see the product to the franchise that made them what is now.

| @Blueckot I haven't seen that leak, but I wanted to clarify one thing. Ufotable doesn't have multiple teams, they have just one big team of around 250 full time in-house employees. Of course not 100% of the staff works on everything, especially directors, but most of them do. But even the Infinity Castle movie, which had almost 100% working on it, had people "missing", like Masaru Takenaka, who hasn't made an appearance since 2021, because he is most likely the director of Mahoyo, or Makoto Nakamura, one of their best animators, or Chinatsu Mizushima, or Atsushi Tanaka. So basically, for some reason Mahoyo is being produced at very slow pace, on parallel with Kimetsu no Yaiba since the second half of 2023 (pre-production began in 2021), with only 5% of the team or so, and those staff members rotate. And what most likely happened is that they are finally putting most of the staff on Mahoyo to finish it and release it in Winter now that the first Infinity Castle movie is done. The date checks out because they like to release movies in the same station in which the story takes place. So, if the leak is true, then we'll see a Type-Moon Times stream sooner than later, probably next month. Patience boys, we'll get it, and the catharsis will be glorious. |
