Nazuna and Anko’s confrontation is far from over, and Episode 11 might keep pushing that tension higher. But while their clash is intense, the real question hanging in the air is: how are they going to save our boy Ko now?

At the same time, we’ll probably learn more about Anko’s past. The show has been hinting that her hatred of vampires runs deeper than just duty, and Episode 11 could show us why. Ko’s struggle with his life-changing decision, whether he truly wants to give up being human, will take center stage.

And also, we might see Nazuna in a way we haven’t before. If Episode 11 really does pull back the curtain, we could get our first glimpse at her true weakness. Up until now, she’s seemed untouchable, but a reveal like this would not only shake up her dynamic with Ko, it could completely flip the balance in this fight against Anko. Don’t you also think so?

Welp, that could've gone worse but Kou survived. Healed very fast too. Episode definitely focused more Kou after the events of this arc and he even got kissed!

Anko has really grown to me as a character. She's complex and the dynamic relationship between her, Kou, and Nazuna is the highlight of this arc.

Hey Kabura, that’s not how you deal with someone who literally just crawled back from death’s door( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). But anyway, jokes aside, we all knew Ko wasn’t going to bite the dust.. main character immunity is way stronger than one may think of lol. Though the fact that he didn’t die is something worth discussing over, you see, apart from him having that main character energy, dude is actually a human, or at least that is what they always told us. So yeah, this half-vampire stuff may look pretty convenient but tbh, I never had any real problems with it. It'd only happen in brief moments, and when he’s completely overcome by emotions, anyway.

That being that, now there’s Anko.. new haircut, new lease on life. Classic anime logic: you want to show someone moving on? Just cut the hair short lmaoo. Still, I actually liked it. She’s been carrying that “vampire hunter with baggage” aura for so long that it’s refreshing to see her acting this way. The hairdresser actually deserves a writing credit at this point lol.

This is already ending next week:( Just hope we'll be getting a season three announcement.

Paafekuto communication, lmao. Real dilemma there, anything could’ve sparked an absolute silence which is the next worst thing to a first fight.

I love the detective’s random rambles and her drunk self, that was definitely heading for a perverted line with the fangs v ehm. I freakin’ love Sawashiro Miyuki-san’s husky voice roles. More drunk version will be amusing to watch and pleasing to hear of course. On a more serious note, smart of Kou-kun to ask her about it. I thought we’d be getting the “welcome to vampirehood” moment xD. Burst of emotions and ambiguity between love and affection leading to periodic vampirehood, I definitely want to see more validation of this theory soon.

And hey, that kiss! Nanakusa-chan was worried sick and the alarm catching her off grid was hilarious. Guess the kiss isn’t a secret anymore too.

One more to go, and there better be a 3rd season announcement with it!

I was honestly expecting something a little more from Kou's recovery.
I thought that like Nazuna was going to like somehow forcibly turn Kou, or like give him a vampire blood transfusion or something.
It turns out, our boy did on his own thru the power of love lol.

Does this mean that maybe we'll see Kou full turn vampire next episode? Like now that he knows his feelings of affection towards Nazuna are so close to breaking that "barrier" of love?

Last episode of the season next week!
Love this series, looking forward to seeing where Nazuna and Kou go from here, and now that Anko's "past" his behind her, maybe we'll see her start to turn her life in a new direction?

“Right now, you’re kinda like your old self, it’s cute” Nazuna stop making girls fall deeper in love with you challenge: IMPOSSIBLE! Best possible ending to this arc. Like Kou said, “stuff happened, everyone’s happy” Kou ended up being perfectly fine, Anko rediscovered her will to live, got back close with Nazuna and even the cheating dude ended up not losing his wife lol.

Loved everything about this arc, but my fave part has to be seeing Anko’s teenage self come out at the end. Deep down, she’s always been that scared girl who ran away from home after killing her dad. Time froze for her in that moment and she’s had to craft this tough detective persona to protect herself from the world and the things she’s afraid of, but when push comes to shove, that little girl comes out. We saw it when Nazuna went all out against her at the school, then when Kou got shot and she’s pleading with Nazuna to forgive her and ofc there at the end as they’re drinking. She even went back to her old hairstyle! She looks sooo pretty too.

More on that in a minute though, big revelations with Kou today. So apparently he momentarily was genuinely in love with Nazuna or at least deluded himself out of desperation for self preservation to believe he’s in love. Kind of a convenient plot device, lol, but hey, it worked. I reckon that’ll come back and be important again at some point. Note how scared anko gets in that moment, essentially reliving the trauma of that day when her dad turned all over again.

That fear of dying that anko discovered as she was about to pull the trigger happens to soooo many suicidal people. If you’re feeling down and lost, it’s ok to not be ok. There’s people out there who can and will help you. Depression is the same as any other illness, not your fault for having it.

The thigh shots whenever we’re having a serious conversation in this show never fails to make me laugh. Kou and sensei/Anko having an important discussion and the director got gooning on his mind lmao.

Love the last few minutes so much. The way anko was bashful and wanted to be complimented on her hair, she’s such a girl on the inside lol. Also, the way she teases Kou in front of Nazuna just to make Nazuna jealous is probably her little way of getting back at Nazuna for not being the one that’s by her side. Once the finale airs next week, I’m definitely reading this to hopefully get more anko. Great episode.

It's a sobering sight when a cold and ruthless vampire hunter gets reduced to a panicking mess.

The way how the street folk really are cool with the "movie shooting" explanation for Anko's gun shenanigans is hilarious if not a little eerie.

Eeehhh, so are they trying to get away with "the kiss that night healed Ko"?

I'd rather have him being turned without knowing it, but I guess that wouldn't allow to lengthen the story much further.

I knew he'd survive but I didn't think it'd be off so fast. It didn't even take a minute. I like the efficiency. The director knew that we knew what was gonna happen and didn't waste any time. But damn, Ko was like a vampire there for a second?! That raises so many questions.

At first, I thought Ko had become something else entirely. Not a vampire, but not a human either. Something else. Initially, I thought maybe Nazuna actually can't turn people into vampires. She's a halfu after all. Maybe she just doesn't have the ability. And it's not like she tried it before, so we have no clue if it works. But then it was revealed he did momentarily turn into a vampire in the heat of the moment. But that makes things so complicated. Does that mean people can temporarily become vampires or are all vampires temporary? If someone stops loving the one who turned them, do they become a human again? Obviously, that isn't the case with the old school teacher who probably hated the bitch who turned him. So, is Ko special? Or did this happen only cause he didn't have a full transformation? I guess I'll find out.

I am so glad Anko/Kyoko didn't kill herself. I actually like that Nazuna got her friend back. Also, after all the talk, she couldn't kill herself. I'm glad she couldn't. Would've been a huge waste otherwise. It really shows that she's still a good person. Kyoko Mejiro didn't die that day. She's still alive. And on her 28th birthday it's like she fully came back. Love to see it.

Drunk Anko was really funny. I liked how they played the first OP as an insert song too. It doesn't seem likely but I'd like it if she became a recurring character again. But if she settled down and started having a normal life again I'd be very happy. Either way this episode was really fun. It's a shame that there's only one episode left. I don't think the situation with Kiku will be resolved in the next episode unless they resolve it very quickly in one episode. It's disappointing but not because I think the story is bad but because I'd probably have to wait another 3 years to see the next season... Oh well. I'm gonna miss this show so much.

"Why are you so good at ripping clothes off."
Practice makes perfect.

"Stuff went down but everyone's alive in the end ... So 'Yay' "
You are a very chill character, Kou ...

"I went to apologize but he cheered me up instead"
... and well grounded as well, Kou, more so that most of the older vampire gals around you.

Another Nazuna surprise kiss.

"Nah, you just pissed me off."

Anko is indeed a lightweight drinker.

Apparently, this world's vampirism is at it core an emotional state, with the physiological following the emotional. That is a rather unique take. The closest I have seen to that was the 1992 Gary Oldman Dracula where he became a vampire partly through grief and rage, then abjuring all that was divine.

Mejiro cried after shooting Ko by mistake..
😭😭

Thank God Nazuna didn't harm her without knowing what really happened and our boy really transformed into a vampire even though it was brief 😄❤️

Mejiro turned into such a sweet character.

Ko's making Mejiro know that she's still young since Ko has fallen for a 40 year old Nazuna so why wouldn't Mejiro find a better person, haha

Drunk Detective is so out of character and that hair cut looks great on her. Mejiro having her way with Ko's tummy..Ko must have developed a new fetish 🤣😂

I wish Nazuna still kissed Mejiro..what a waste 😿😿

The whole suicide attempt and almost-death got wrapped up real quick. Now that it's over... I guess the show's always been like this. Goes to some really dark and painful places, then immediately pull back to the usual comfortable groove, with everyone slightly changed.

Gonna need more time to get used to this nicer version of the detective lady, but the "perfect communication" was pretty funny. And still very charming.

@Niwaka-Samurai An anime original episode? Could never see that coming. Seems a bit unusual for a show like this. But I don't mind as long as it's good. This season has been so crazy I'd like to see a chill episode again. Could be a good epilogue. Maybe one that takes place in a zoo?

You know its completely possible Anko falls for Nazuna, I doubt it since I imagine the shows focus will shift but I mean she was heading in that direction originally before the whole incident with her family.

Fr though I really am curious were the show goes from here since Kou falling in love and the whole thing with Anko was kinda the main focus but in a sense both those things have been wrapped up together. At least Kou's thing partially has.

Loved the episode. I guess we’re close to the finale now, since Ko finally became a vampire. First and foremost, I really liked how Ko and Nazuna made up with Kyoko, even though she was trying to kill them in the previous episode. Since Kyoko and Nazuna are childhood friends, it made sense, and I loved that.

Secondly, whilst what Kyoko said was true, Ko felt love for Nazuna when she protected him from Kyoko. In that exact moment, he experienced that emotion and started turning into a vampire, though not a full one yet. It’s a bit confusing, but I get the gist. Is he still human or not?

Well, his heart is still beating, so he’s obviously not a full vampire yet. But at the same time, no human could just stand after being shot point-blank in the abdomen, right? So my conclusion is that Ko, while not fully a vampire yet, is gradually and slowly becoming one.

Again, a really good episode.

I've started to really like Anko ever since all of this happened and I can't believe she went from my least favorite character to a top 5 character. She's great and I'm glad shes on good terms with Nazuna and Ko right now. She has grown on me so much and it's kind of crazy how a backstory is all you need for you to get everyone to like you, unless you liked her before. One last episode, I'm hoping for a season 3 announcement with it.

Imaging waking up and the first thing you see is Kabura, nice.

Ok but how did he turn, Nanakusa did not even drink his blood that time. Is it a passive trigger? Like, she drinks his blood once and if he falls in love later he turns?

Ko is right, 28 is still plenty young.

Alright, I’m usually against the character development haircut, it just typically always results in a worse design, and at first I thought the same way for Anko’s cut here, but then it quickly grew on me so I think it’s just as good as her usual ponytail, of course it would be best girl Anko to pull it off lol. She was great in this one in general, it started off really bad when she was in tears after the accidental gunshot, but then the second half of the episode came and we saw her in a much better mood while she hung out with Kou and Nazuna as if they’ve been best buds for a long time, it was very heartwarming to see after all she’s been through, as well as everyone else. And as a bonus, we not only saw a cuter side of Anko here, but also a drunk side lol, gotta love the babe that gets drunk easily trope.

But me gushing over Anko aside, we’ve got a really interesting situation with Kou here, I’m sure some might be upset that he somehow avoided being turned into a vampire when it seemed almost certain that that would be the only way he could survive the shot, and that ended up being correct, only with an asterisk at the end of it lol. Yeah so he started turning into a vampire during that one moment when he stood up (such a cool moment too, the Halloween costume really added to it), and that short bit was enough to save him, and if Anko is correct, it’s because of Kou’s love for Nazuna that it happened that way. It seems a bit like a copout but I love this personally, this still works as great development for Kou and Nazuna’s relationship (not to mention that epic kiss), and it leaves room for more great stuff to come, because if Kou became a vampire it would be over lol, I just hope a third season comes so we can see the great stuff in question.

But with that, we just have one episode left, the summer nights have been awesome this season and I’m so sad this series is almost over for the second time, it’s been such a good season tho, just like the first.

whew! that definitely was a load off my mind. i was seriously worried there!

but of course, one solution makes a whole new field of questions 'crop' up. ;>

i think the daffy detective is pretty close to correct. our boy hit a 'turning point' ;> in his relationship with his girlfriend. but he didn't 'turn' the corner down luuuuuv lane and make his way happily along it... more like... he got into the exit lane for that turnoff but swerved back onto the main highway at the last second. ;>

there is a whole crapton we as humans still don't get about our own bodies, even after hundreds of years of study and experiments. maybe there is a neurochemical reaction inside our brains and/or hormones in our bloodstreams that coincides with introducing... Vector V (for vamps)... or whatever they're 'carrying' that turns us into one of them when we're in luuuuv.

i think the detective is also on the right track on another subject. those two are well beyond the point of just kissing and cuddling and handholding... they need to do it. :D at least get to the fondling stroking and foreplay point. ;9

@UtakaSenpai ...perhaps you should watch the episode first.

Having the first season's OP playing in the background while Ko, Nazuna and Anko were at the bar made me feel a tad nostalgic due to how much of a banger that song is. =)

The way that Ko was healed up from his injuries was rather unexpected, but I'm honestly glad that he made a full recovery more or less. Not only that, but Anko pulled the classic trope of cutting her hair to showcase her moving on from her vampire hunter past. Not only am I'm happy that she's on good terms with Nazuna and Ko again, but seeing her become a drunken mess after one small sip of beer was hilarious.

Not to forget, Nazuna slipped in another cute kiss on Ko's lips. Just another reason as to why she's awesome!

I think they need to have sex so that he can finally become a vampire.

What a beautiful episode. I'm glad she was able to make peace with Anko, the detective.

I'm going to miss that scruffy, messy detective who was so obsessed with a single goal. As much as I'm happy for her redemption and her new chapter, I'm not going to lie: her old self was a mix of twisted, macabre, and charismatic. I loved that style.

Nazuna and Ko's kiss was a very sweet moment. Even Anko supports their feelings, although only when she's drunk. I'm still not sure about Ko's temporary transformation into a vampire. He may do it again, but it would be annoying if his feelings for Nazuna continued to oscillate between love and affection all the time.

I want to share that I didn't watch the opening until this episode because I was afraid of spoilers and heck I was right, it clearly tells us that Nazuna's first friend was Anko, the detective, if I had watched I wouldn't have been surprised for the reveal
