Any anime plans for this year

I plan to watch new seasonal anime with long running anime on a schedule term.

I plan to catch up on Bleach, Naruto, and Yu-Gi-Oh this year with new seasonal anime on daily schedule terms like for an hour. I watch at fast pace sometimes to finish soon, but I am ok with that sometimes depending on the plot that I understand with my fast eyes.

After each long running anime, I will take a break from them by schedule a week of some anime that premiered seasonally 10 years ago that I did not watch.

How about anyone else?

I want to try to watch more anime this year, but I don't think I'll be able to do that because I've been working a lot... I want to watch some seasonals, I don't think I'll watch anything outside that... Maybe finish Natsume Yuujinchou... But nothing certain (unless I loose my job lol)

I have a very linear plan about what non seasonal anime I'll watch because they were all things I started in the past and put on hold: first I'll finish My Hero Academia (S6 rn), then I'll continue Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (S4 rn), after that I'll continue Berserk (20 chapters in but I'll probably just reread from the start) and finally I'll reread Tokyo Ghoul and read Tokyo Ghoul:re. After I finish all of that I'll probably continue with anything I currently have in "Currently Watching" or "Currently Reading". I've been thinking about rewatching Mushoku Tensei and catching up to Kingdom, but I would have to reread the whole manga for that because I don't remember everything that well.

Want to catch up on the things I missed in 2025 and then actually fix/update my list this year! But there's a lot I'd like to rewatch, too. There's never enough time in the day.

So I generally plan to focus on non harem ecchi anime, and watch some seasonals along the way that are loli themed or have fanservice. All must be shounen/seinen or by a male creator.

Watch at least 45 shows/movies, for the Anime Watching Challenge 2026
- It's less than last year, but I have to spend more time with IRL stuff...

Watch more older "famous" shows, instead of reluctantly sticking with mediocre seasonals
- Currently watching FMAB and Code Geass, planning to try Gundam '79, Ghost in the Shell SAC, Madoka Magica, etc.
- Watch 1-2 older shows and the seasonals in parallel
- Split my time 50/50 between seasonals and old shows, instead of something like 80/20 last year

I sped through JoJos parts 1-6 in about a month to prepare for Steel Ball Run last November, so definitely that.

But also a ton of the other upcomings, to name a few of the major ones I'm looking out for:
    - Frieren S2
    - JJK Culling Games Part 1
    - Fate Strange Fake
    - Re;Zero S4
    - Witch Hat Atelier
    - Mushoku Tensei S3

I'd like to rewatch Angel Next Door one more time before S2 arrives in April—other than that, I got a few non-seasonals to watch soon.

For other upcoming sequels, I will stay tuned for Classroom of the Elite S4 and 100 Girlfriends S3.

@Catalano

The Mushoku Tensei fanbase on MAL and Reddit is a NPC cult, good luck with that.

They are in denial that the anime is a bad adaptation. The light novel also leaves a ton of questions unanswered such as with Nanahoshi, the gods, magic, etc.

They become radicalised when I started naming isekai light novels with higher scores than Mushoku Tensei on Japanese Book walker, by throwing the words 'media literacy' or 'reading comprehension', when the Japanese are among the most highly educated people in the world, probably only second to South Korea.

I don't know what is the issue with MAL and Reddit. Many of us have moved on from Mushoku Tensei to invest in other light novels but the cult is worshipping Rudeus and his 3 wives. Neither Mushoku Tensei nor Re:Zero appears in our discussions when we discuss most well written isekai~

I find that making a plan kills the joy, or causes some variation of "burnout"... but I will say that I'm also determined to finally finish bleach. I think I've had it on hold for 10 yrs lol

I want to watch and read so many things, countless things, but I can not because of my fucking job.
If I watch, like, 5 episodes of anime this year, it will be a lot.
