| The Go Nagai influence has never come through as strongly as this. It's good to finally see the demon's hand portrayed as a curse as well as a blessing. For most of this series it's just been a straight superpower that Nube pulls out to save the day. It really should always have been something that's just waiting to kill Nube if he ever lets his guard down. There seems to be a very positive trend of more stories that actually have something going on emotionally. After watching so many episodes that were just silly pulp I wouldn't have expected such improvement. |

| Very cool to see the origins of Nube’s demon hand, all it took was the hand nearly killing him by taking over his body, but hey I say it was worth it to learn this backstory lol, I’m sure the remake will eventually have this episode too. And I had a feeling Minako Sensei’s story wasn’t done after her backstory with Nube was shown some episodes back, so she’s part of the demon that’s sealed in Nube’s hand, and she was the reason Nube was able to deal with it in the first place because it was way too powerful for him. Nice twist, and it’s pretty sad that Minako’s soul can never be free because of this, but if you look at the bright side, Minako is always there with Nube as we saw when Tamamo awakened her soul to save Nube from the demon, that and Nube got a powerful weapon out of it too, a weapon that can save more people, so really Minako is still saving people to this day alongside Nube, just like she did for him in the past. Also, W Tamamo for going out of his way to learn Nube’s past and save him, he may have said it was because he didn’t want to lose his rival this way, but I think there’s more to it than that, the kids have positively affected him over time after all. |
