Hey! Does someone have a rec for: '(17) Read a manga recommended to you by another participant in the discussion thread'?

Thx in advance;3

Homunculus, Planetes, Akumetsu, Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa, Hoshi no Samidare, Ueki no Housoku. :)
Thanks again! I'll use Planates for n.17.

For '(48) Read a manga with a protagonist with an unnatural hair color', I thought I'd check to see if white/ grey applies considering the character is in his early twenties (MC of Zombie Powder). If not, recs appreciated.
Also, can manga with manga as its focus count for '(71) Read a manga about food, music or art'? Specifically this one. Just a little unsure how this one will go, would rather change it now if I need to.

Regarding item:
(45) Read a manga that was recently reviewed

I read Mx0 based on this review. I didn't read it at the time. I just saw that it was a somewhat short(by shounen standards, anyways) action-comedy series so I jumped right in. After finishing it I decided to check out the review just to see what their thoughts were and, as anyone who clicked on the above link can see, it turned out to be spam.

So my question is: Since the review is spam(and might even get removed), do I have to pick another series?

i mean, yea if you want to be on the safe side, let's be real tho, its a manga and mods dont care about manga reviews
but on the safe side, pick another yea

I've a question about the "only one manga can be used once".

Is it once by yourself or is it once during the whole challenge? I had some trouble to find a manga for the 02 item and I think I finally found a manga that I can read and that is an award winning manga (the manga is Mob Psycho 100).

Thanks in advance,

I'm not really sure I understand your question? Either way, to clear that up, it means that one manga title can be used for just one item from the list, you wouldn't be able to read Mob Psycho 100 and use it for two categories.

Could a newbie get a rec for 17: Read a manga recommended to you by another participant in the discussion thread? Anything goes, though I do prefer completed titles.

I would also be super grateful if someone could help me out with 07: Read a manga that started serialization after 2015 - not a difficult one to find perhaps, but I'm out of ideas. None in my plan to read match, iirc.

Kokou No Hitou for 17

For 7 there are definitely one shots like Guru Guru Circus, Ryuu to Hidari Te, or Gokiburi Buster if you want to take the easy way out. Also something short like Tamayura Kitsune or Canaria-tachi no Fune. That's all Seinen tho.

I think Fire Punch is a shounen that works. Koneko Hiroimashita is a really short shoujo.

57 Afternoon and Young Jump are probably where the best stuff is, but Young Animal has some great stuff(Berserk, Holyland, 3gatsu) and a pile of short ecchi stuff if you're into that sort of thing. Evening also has some decent stuff.

I'm looking for a recommendation from another user!

I'm down for something that is:

* Short (Lets do...4 books or less, shorter the better.)
* Shojo/Josei/Romance
* Tradegy
* I'm ready to cry, y'all. Throw me the saddest manga out there.

Thanks for the quick answer! I also just realized I made a typo earlier - there 4 volumes released in the US, with 2 I could find scanlations for. So I can only get about halfway to what is available in english without reaching out to foreign book/comic stores.

@MRC_mod Not sure if I should ask you or someone else, but my question is this! For the challenge asking a manga about a real event or real people, can Kakan no Madonna count? Reason I am asking is because the main plot is mostly fictional; it's a story about a legend, but there are historical figures (such as Cezare Borgias, Prince of Napoli, Da Vinci, etc) that act like they should history-wise and are very important to the plot. Actually, apart from the main girl, everyone else is real. Apart from the main story which is centered on fiction, there are also historical events intermingled with fiction, such as the state of Italy then, the wars, deaths and dates, etc. Basically, it uses real information to move on the fictional plot. So, I'm not sure if you would accept it c:

(30) Read a manga that has been adapted to live-action:
(31) Read a manga one shot that became a prototype for a longer series
(58) Read a manga published in an online magazine
(74) Read a manga based on real event or person
(77) Read a manga that has a main character of gender opposite to the demographic

Just wanted to make sure, i read Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai for one of my entries, and it's TECHNICALLY finished it's run, but it's only translated up to the 6th chapter. Will this still count as being finished for the challenge now that i've caught up to it's most recent translated chapter? I think i had read on the FAQ that it had, but im being a lazy boi.
