Synopsis

Konoha Satou has a dark history. After all, she spent her teen years writing self-indulgent fantasy romance fics—like her Dark History. But since she's become its most despicable villainess, remembering every last detail is now a matter of life-and-death. Having avoided the first couple of death flags, Satou's suddenly left in the dark when a mysterious stranger returns from the Lily Kingdom—a character she doesn't recall writing in the original script. Although Yomi claims to be her ally, can Satou really trust a character she knows nothing about in such a dangerous world?

After reading the 1st volume I really did enjoy it. The villainess Iana is trying her best to not only change people's view of her but also she's trying to avoid her own death flags since EVERYONE in the novel she wrote loves the female lead Konoha who is her older sister. The thing that keeps you wanting to read it is how she's going to avoid these death flags considering her change in personality is changing the story and giving her a bit of unwanted attention from her would-be assassin. So funny, great parody, especially the Mary Sue heroine character, who everyone, including the protagonist, loves. Perhaps because I'm a fanfic veteran, every story beat to me feels like a loving ribbing of tropes in fanfic or fantasy romance made for young women, which, if you're afab, you've likely come across at least once. The yandere love interest is also amusing and honestly kinda cute. This manga is definitely different from other villainess manga's for a few different reasons. One in the sense that our mc is reincarnated after she's already been labeled the villainess! Caught in a situation where she knows she's going to be killed if anything happens to her heroine sister she sets out to avoid death flags and keep her sister safe.
