Synopsis

Agredios, the son of a local landowner, arrives home from a long hunt...only to find his village silent and devoid of its usual laughter and commotion. What he discovers is an unimaginable agony that sparks a desire to avenge his fallen people by slaying the witch of the forbidden woods. But is the witch truly as vile as rumors say? A new quest begins: to discover the truth, save lives, and survive.

What a surprise The Witch and the Knight will survive ended up being. I stumbled on this while scrolling through the Crunchyroll manga app and ended up wanting more.

Actually, let me start with that. I wish we had more chapters here. It did end on a good note and I get why it ended this way, but I wanted more. That's my main complaint about the manga. It needed another chapter or five for me to be fully satisfied here.

With regards to the actual manga, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It starts off with our main MC, Agredios, coming back after long hunt in the forest. ...

Series is about a knight and a witch. The only spoilers in this review regard their relationship, so you should be fine storywise (other than chapter 1).

The knight lives in a village bordered by a forest and everyone is scared of a witch that lives there. One day everyone in the village dies while the knight is away and he's sure it was the witch, so he ventures into the forest and kills her (but since she's immortal, he pledges to kill her once for everyone that died).
