Hagure Yuusha no Aestetica, or Aestetica of a Rogue Hero. The story of Akatsuki Osawa, who brought the demon king’s daughter, Myuu, back to the real world with him, and so he begins turning his world into somewhere she can live, at the same time as he deals with some family problems.
It’s an interesting story, and despite being from before the isekai craze, it has elements that are still interesting to date. The main problem in the story, which becomes visible early on, is that the author bites off more than he can chew. In fact, the first 10 volumes of the story is what
...
the author calls part 1, volume 11 starts part 2, but the series has been on hiatus since then. So, if you mind the fact that it’s a story that will never finish, then you can turn away, or just call the series at volume 9 (volume 10 and 11 aren’t worth reading).
If you do plan to reading, let me tell you what you’ll find.
If you’ve read Shinmai Maou no Testament, then you get what to expect. The fights are really interesting. The MC is no bitch, if the women give him a chance he’ll absolutely have his way with them. It’s not as explicit as SMNT though (though the “Chisato” of this series (Cecil) is also very hot).
I won’t get into specifics for the sake of spoilers, but the best arcs are the ones that go from volume 4-5, and 7-8. The power system is a bit of a mess, but if you turn your brain off and just enjoy the fights, it’s really nice.
As I mentioned, this series isn’t as explicit as SMNT, but it still has the good ol PLOT scenes. They are few and far between, like usually just 1 per volume, and honestly just kinda thrown in there (as opposed to integrated into the story, as SMNT’s were). They’re also not as hot as SMNT’s scenes, with the exception of Cecil’s scenes, she really is the original Chisato.
So yeah. This series has really low lows (I really considered quitting reading a few times), but it’s still worth a go if you’re interested. Honestly, what hurts it the most is the fact that it’s a series eternally on hiatus, I would have liked to see what the author had planned. As it stands, it’s something you’ll read and then forget, or let it eat away at your head depending on the type of person you are.
