Hello! I started watching in like 2018 or something, I like low quality self-insert isekai, romcoms, and pretentious stuff, but I watch a little bit of everything. I've been told I look like a taller more handsome Ryan Reynolds and can eat a 20 piece mcnugget all by myself. I play a lot of games, mostly jrpgs, and keep track of everything I've beaten at https://www.backloggd.com/u/Algy/

I accept all friend requests, so feel free to message me!

It does make me wonder how that will affect the market with them, although at the same time the Steam community is no doubt used to doing upgrade so I don't think it'll be too much of a big deal with them. Plus I have no doubt it will be jailbroken on its first day. 🤣 Gosh it is going to be so nice being able to hook up it to a modern TV without the use of a PC. By the way have you heard of the newly announced RG Vita?
Retro8bit Jan 30, 9:27 PM
I know this is probably a given with me, but I'm really looking forward to playing some old school PC games on the steam console. This way I don't keep having to hook up my PC to my TV to play it on a big screen. XD Do you think they will make it upgradable every couple of years or so like a real computer? 😯

Sounds pretty awesome actually, looks like you have a pretty good history with handheld systems. I know how you mean with the switch As well, that platform has so many great games on it I can understand all the hours you put in.

Speaking of steam deck, what do you think of valves newest console that's going to be released soon?

Kuon basically plays like the old Resident Evil games with the fixed camera angle and whatnot, only with this it has more of a fuel Japan theme and you use magic cards instead of bullets. Hahaha! 🤣 It's not an amazing game by any stretch of the imagination, but it is fun.

Hmmm I suppose whichever. 🤔 I was referring more to Mario's since we were at been talking about that, but Fromsoftware is awesome too without a doubt. I can't believe how big of a company they've become since the old days of gaming.

Are you into handheld gaming at all?
Retro8bit Jan 20, 10:23 PM
I think you really did hit the nail on the head with that. More of these corporate suits are deciding what direction video games will be going in these days, and with them costing millions upon millions of dollars they can't afford to take risks like they used to. I really miss double A titles from back in the 6th generation, there was so many creative titles being pumped out left and right. Oh sweet, since you are a fan of Fromsoft have you ever heard of Kuon?

Hmmm I guess so long as it includes Mario doing some sort of platforming. Do you have a favorite entry in the series?

Wow the way you painted the picture of that indie game you're currently playing sounds better than a lot of this triple A stuff that has been coming out lately. Hahaha! I'm curious, on the subject matter of that, do you feel that gaming has gotten to stale with a lot of these big budget titles? It just seems like so much of the creativity from back in the day is gone, especially when comparing it to the sixth generation of gaming. I think Indies are what are keeping video games more fresh when it comes to ideas these days. What are your thoughts on it bro? 🤔

Currently I am playing Super Mario 3D World on the Switch. I had it back on the Wii U but never completed it, so I figured I might as well now. 🤣

no problem! what anime have you watched / finished lately?
Retro8bit Jan 17, 6:22 PM
Dude we are so in the same predicament there. I too have Persona 5 Tactica and still haven't opened it yet for the Switch. It's the last version of Persona 5 that I need to play though so hopefully soon. What are you currently playing now? I played a few trails in the sky games.
Retro8bit Jan 15, 10:28 PM
Now that you mentioned it, casual mode does sound familiar to me. I think I might have heard somebody else mention that on YouTube or what not. I love strategy games so that was my only complaint with the series, I hate losing my soldiers. Have you had a chance to play Persona 5 tactica?
Retro8bit Jan 15, 9:06 PM
I haven't had a chance to play Valkyrie Chronicles 4 yet, so my biggest question would be did they ever remove permadeath from the franchise? It's one of the reasons why I can't get into the Fire Emblem games either, I get to attached to my troops. 😭😭😭
Retro8bit Jan 15, 6:10 PM
I still need to play Valkyrie Chronicles 4. 😭 Oh gosh man if you ever have a chance to play Skies of Arcadia you will absolutely fall in love with its story. It's all about sky pirates and a really in-depth plot involving ancient weapons. Unfortunately it's not voice acted, but you will still get sucked into its plot. It actually expanded two Dreamcast discs back in the day.
Retro8bit Jan 14, 11:59 PM
The anime pretty much follows the game story to a T when it comes to Valkyrie Chronicles, so yeah if you were looking for a completely new story or at the very least a tweaked version from the video game, you'll probably be disappointed. ;_; It was still nice to see it animated though, even though I highly doubt we'll ever get another adaptation again. You ever play Skies of Arcadia by the way buddy?
Retro8bit Jan 12, 10:17 PM
Yes I would say I'm pretty similar to you in this aspect, there aren't really many genres out there in anime that I absolutely hate. I would say that the only one I will often times find a snoozefest is war themed anime. I don't know what it is I just can't get into them. The only exception being Valkyrie Chronicles. Have you ever watched that one buddy?
Retro8bit Jan 11, 5:44 PM
Dude the anime is completely bonkers, so much so that you think that most of the main characters are on some sort of sugar high. Hahaha! If you like that style of humor though I think you really will dig it. 🤣 What are your favorite anime genres?
Retro8bit Jan 9, 10:32 PM
Yes it's actually really good, especially if you love The zaniness of FLCL. There is also another anime out there called Excell Saga. Have you ever heard of it? Again very similar. 🤔
