The plot of this one is pretty simple: A young mermaid doesn't want to live underwater anymore and wishes to come to the surface to find a human husband. She runs away from home and is caught in the fishing net of a low level gang member who is down on his luck. Reluctantly he takes her home and of course, shenanigans ensue. Pretty simple stuff.

side, and poor Torao—the tough guy gang member—is your typical straight man that finds himself way over his head as supernatural hijinks start to pile up. Still though, something about their dynamic just works and is entertaining to read.
The art is simple yet expressive, the humor lands, and the overall vibe is light and cozy. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a delightful little series that’s easy to enjoy. I'm not sure if this is trying to get picked up as a full series, but I'd definitely love to read more!
