Yes, I know. Completely different atmosphere, feeling, and genre. But they both have a good, strong storyline with a good pacing throughout the whole anime. They are both really short, 5cm/s is a 3 episode movie while Denpa teki na kanojo is a 2 episode ova. Also, the setting and character development are realistic, meaning not too supernatural or magical.

A "light" anime with a group of guys trying to "accomplish" something. For Uta no prince-sama, it's music. But for Free, it's swimming. There are very few girls involved in the main plot other than the main character in Uta no Prince-sama. Also a good female fanbase.

Ignoring the setting, both Denpa Teki na Kanojo and Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom possesses a dark and serious theme. Both of them can be related to reality, meaning no supernatural, fantasy or magic elements and unbelievably abnormal character strengths and over exaggerated and plain personalities.

Both a great magic and shoujo anime. The main characters are both females whose jobs are to fix reality before disaster occurs. There aren't any dark/gore/horror/etc. themes in either of them

Both have a tense storyline. Both about the distance between their loved ones. But 5cm/s has more of a romance-y theme to it.

Both have a dark, mysterious thriller theme. In Denpa teki na kanojo, the main character and some other people searches for the killer. In Steins;Gate, a group of scientists researches about well... steins;Gate. Therefore, both of them includes some form of investigating. There are also no fantasy, magic, supernatural whatsoever elements in either of them too.

1) Both have the idea of being brainwashed and then trained as assassins 2) Both have involves the world of guns In my opinion, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom has a more psychological, darker, emotional and real life theme to it. Gunslinger girl has slightly less of that but still remains that very same atmosphere.
