The story did get a little bit convoluted in the middle of season 2. I forget things easily too, so every time I try to catch up to a series, I would reread it from the beginning, which helps me enjoy the series more although it takes more time.

Speaking of the anime adaptation, season 1 adaptation was really bad, I do not have high hope for season 2, unless they give it 2 cours and only adapt 1/3 of it. If they only give it 13 episodes, it's almost guaranteed to be a bad adaptation.

I was actually the same, I talked about the TOG anime with other people but it took me years to actually get to it, and I started catching up to the series again because of a gacha game called Tower of God the Great Journey lol, it's releasing characters that I don't recognize so I am trying to catch up to know who they are.

What's your thoughts on TOG up to the point you left off?

That's what I do with a lot of the on going series, I read a manga, I catch up to it, and then I just put it on hold until it accumulates more chapters so I could binge it again, and sometimes it could take years lol. In some cases, if there's an anime adaptation, I watch the anime adaptation to get refreshed on certain events and pick it up where the anime left off.

I didn't expect TOG to have over 600 chapters too, I first read it when it only had 80 chapters out, and the last time I read it, I think it only had 200 something chapters? It has come a long way, and I think it's nowhere close to being done too. The world building is just incredible. I did hear from a friend that it was on hiatus for a period of time due to the author's health concern, but I am glad it's releasing chapters again now.

I have no idea how they do the calculation with days of anime watched. I've been watching anime for a long time, at least 13 or 14 years now I think. My list is so long and messy right now, I wanted to fix some series' scores but I always stop mid way through because of how much time it will take.

Thanks for the friend request. I just realized you have Tower of God as one of your favorite! I am trying to catch up to the series again after putting it on hold somewhere in the hell train arc years ago.
