Hi, I'm trying to start a club for critical and knowledgable anime fans. I came across your account in the "arthouse anime" club and you seem to fit the bill. The two purposes of the club are to foster community via the club Discord server, and to create a robust poll of the "greatest anime of all time", voted on by members in a thread on the front page of the club. Each member would post their personal top ten list in the thread, titled "Post Your Top Ten", and then eventually I will compile all the lists into a final aggregate. Its great! I think is one of my favourite thriller stories i ve experienced from any medium. The pacing is really good, its fast but not rushed and every side plot gets resolved in satisfaying ways and most of them get intertwine with the main plot in cool ways, but some of them can seem that they drag a little too long or the dont have a point until you reach the end of that arc. Every character goes throught an interesting development and all of them are enjoyable to read. The philosophical and moral questions it asks are interesting to think about and it is what separates this story from a lot of other thrillers in my opinion, but to be honest you could say that about most of Urasawas work.
The art also is good, in my opinion is not the main attraction of Urasawas mangas, but i have to say that his storytelling and paneling work is really good, extremely easy to read and it adds to the fast pacing of the story. The historical and cultural details i ve heard that they are really accurate and it is refreshing to see a setting like that in a manga.

What do you think about it so far? If you liked it I definatelly reccomend Pluto, it is a great "remake" of a classic, unfortunately I havent read much of his other works yet
Also what do you think about Sonny Boy so far? It was a great suprise for me, havent seen an anime that good in a while.

that's totally fine but i just like getting to know people a bit beforehand c:
and i loved planetes. it's one of my favorite shows and i really enjoyed it. i know it's a bit different than the manga but i still think it was a solid show.
