Hello.I'mSenanta. I'm pretty laid-back and like to enjoy things at my own pace. I occasionally watch new shows, but I mostly rewatch favorites. I love drama, fantasy, and emotionally rich, story-driven series. I watch pretty much anything no matter the genre, but I don't usually feel interested in shonen or seinen. If you wish to add me, feel free to send me a friend request, no commitments required.
Myintroductiontoanime.
Let's say I grew up ocasionally watching the common, well-known anime shows. I live in Mexico, and it was pretty normal to see a few anime shows air on TV back then. Shows like Dragon Ball Z and Naruto were on TV most of the time. I was probably as young as 3 years old when I first watched anything anime related. However, I still didn't know what "anime" was back then.
First anime I ever felt engaged with was Beyblade:MetalFusion. I saw it on TV around 2010/2011 when I was 5-6yo.
Time later, around 2013-2015, I watched a few shows with my brother. Including Blue Exorcist, MAGI, Hunter X Hunter, Kill La Kill, etc. I generally enjoyed joining my brother whenever he was watching a new show.
I catched him a few times watching other shows. Code Geass, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou and Accel World are three of them(can't remember much more though). I'm sure that my brother has seen too many shows from practically any genre, so I can say he's part of the reason.
I began to watch anime on my own in July 2019. At the time I had a new phone, and as I was bored, I thought in installing this one anime app my brother used to watch anime. Reason? Who knows.
Not long after thinking in giving it a shot, I came across a clip of TsurezureChildren in Youtube. I really liked the character design, their personalities and the overall feel of the show. I ended up watching it on crunchyroll and fell in love with it. After completing it, I inmediately wanted to rewatch it, but I said to myself: "If I don't keep moving forward, I'll stay here", and that's my story. I then scrolled on crunchyroll and watched anything that looked interesting. It felt so good. No trends, no anime memes, nothing. Just me having fun and discovering new things.
Rating★Criteria
You'relazy?I'mannoying?DON'TWORRY!Skipallofthisandgodirectlytothebottomtoseethe"CHART".
I'd like to first clarify that I am not a hardcore fan, avid anime watcher, completionist, reviewer, or anything of the sort.
I generally rate with 7/10 as a way of saying that the show was enjoyable and decent. If I rate something lower than that, it means that the show lacked something and/or had a flaw that affected the overall watching experience.
As long as I enjoy something and understand the intention of the show, I will rate it accordingly. I strongly believe that all that matters is how well executed the show is: even if it has a few flaws, as long as they're not serious enough to affect the overall sense and logic of the show, the watching experience can still be perfectly enjoyable.
I hope that you can understand this, and that my way of rating is not completely accurate, even if I try to be as accurate as possible.
RATING/SCORECHART! 10/10: Absolute gift from the gods, a total masterpiece. 9/10: The best of the best, unforgettable and rewarding watching experience. 8/10: Great show, great watching experience. 7/10: Average, or decent. 6/10: Completely watchable, but has some flaws that affect the watching experience. 5/10: Bad. Has a lot of flaws, or said flaws are serious and heavily affect the watching experience. 4/10 and under: Has to be really bad for me to rate it so low.

▻ Yosuga no Sora had a special place in my heart for a long time.
▻ I was depressed for a few months after watching toradora, possibly due to the impact of it being my first romance anime and due to other personal aspects of my life in that exact time.
▻ I'm not that much into manga, but I do like it to a certain extent. I would like to have a collection of Shoujo and Iyashikei manga.
▻ The most notable reason on why I don't read manga is because I wouldn't like to read it digitally, and acquiring manga is no easy task here.
▻ I collect golden haired girls in my favorites. My actual favorite characters are not there, although I do like golden haired girls. (Outdated now, list includes some of my favorites, but not all)
▻ I'm not usually interested in shonen.
▻ I learned English mostly by surfing the web and playing online. I studied for two years in a bilingual school when I was 7-9 years old; though, I only acquired basic knowledge.
▻ I don't like watching anime from the high seas due to the often, mediocre quality. I've mostly used crunchyroll throughout my journey, and I was "maining" it ever since I got my TV, back in 2023. I'm proud to say that I was one of the legal watchers, but you know that whenever you don't find something on land, you probably need to catch it on the seas.
▻ My favorite seiyuu is Takahashi Rie. I would love to see her in person at least once in my life.
▻ My favorite "anime" singer is Ceui.
▻ I don't like Disney. As a kid, they essentially betrayed me and killed one of my favorite games for basically no reason. (Wild Ones, Playdom Acquisition by Disney). From my standpoint, they're greedy and don't care about others.
▻ And to finish: I believe I was lucky enough to watch Melonpan's Top Tier Content before his Youtube Channel was taken down.
Check my Notes on Bungaku Shoujo for the most recent update. I have never felt this before in all my time watching anime. Subject: disappointment regarding my degree of enjoyment, immense potential wasted. Bungaku Shoujo movie screams: I have a lot to tell, but I can't tell all of it. Despite my huge respect for it and my appreciation for Production I.G's adaptation, I noticed that it was naturally impossible to make it shine.
MushokuTensei:hatedbysomeandlovedbyothers
I recently rewatched all of Mushoku Tensei and couldn't help but fall in love with the show. The character growth is glorious and really rewarding. Personally, teared countless times and really enjoyed it. Certainly, having a good sense of empathy gives you the skill to deeply enjoy the development of the characters you've grown used to, and a skilled writer + a skilled animation director will never fail to keep up.
Drama, sadness, happiness, laughs, suspense. You got a lot of emotions going on with this show. You get to see the main character grow as a person, achieve his goals and slowly build his dream life and family. Part of that feeling comes from the fact that you get to visualize and experience all the hardships and suffering the main character went through: everything he got was earned through effort.
To someone who is not empathetic, it's hard to explain just how fulfilling it feels.
By far, it turned into one of the shows I've enjoyed the most. Enjoyed it a high 9/10, specially towards the end. Not my first or second time watching it, but the third one. And I always liked it to some degree, but this time I really, really enjoyed it.
My 1TB external Hard Drive just got PWNED. I just lost 850+ GB worth of high quality anime BD-DVD rips, lossless soundtracks, image collections and Visual Novels. Most of the content I had there is probably gone for good cuz lots of it came from websites and private forums that are now down. FML.
