I really need to go back and re-rate pretty much my entire list now that I’ve seen so many more anime. But that would take a lot of time and I don’t remember half of them to rate properly anyway….so it is what it is.

I think there should be more nuance to the rating systems, such as rating of quality (how well developed/written something is) vs. its entertainment value. Take for example, Reincarnated as a Slime, imo its entertainment value is very high, one of my favorites, but it's actual writing/production is pretty mid-tier.

Also, I think purpose of the type of anime is key to rating. Comparing an episodic and/or slice-of-life/CGDCT/comfy, cozy/comedy anime against any anime with a clear, directional storyline. They overlap to some degree but the first group's goal is to relax and "fill up the viewer's cup" whereas the latter group's goal is to tell a solid and complete story.

Just some random, semi-developed thoughts. Feel free to chime in with your own opinion.
