Hello, I just finished Mugen no Juunin: Immortal and now I see why you said it was similar to Rurouni Kenshin. I really liked how it showed that there are no right groups and wrong groups, but ideals and ideas. I also liked the conclusion that revenge only leads to revenge and the cycle must be broken someplace (though Rin could have listened to everyone around her at the beginning and brake the cycle there). Although there was a lot of gore and brutality I really liked the characters and how they changed over time. Thank you for the recommendation!

Wow that sounds awesome! If you are willing to put the time and effort into it I would be thankful for such a list. It sounds like a fun challenge to leave my comfort zone and try series I would have missed otherwise :) I'm up for that challenge, thank you! (And of course it sounds like a lot of work so take your time and let me know when the time comes for me to start watching anime :D )

Just out of curiosity: what were some of the anime you wanted to recommend and found on my dropped list? I tend to drop some anime that feel too long at the time and I also started some dropped series again on recommendation and found myself enjoying them. Sometimes I just need to be in the right mood for a series or I misjudge the first few episodes. It'd be fun to find great series I would have missed because of dropping them years ago :D

Hello and thank you for the anime recommendations. Mugen no Juunin was a great hit! I remember seeing the main picture of it on MAL, but never looked into it. The story is deep with topics to think through and there is plenty of gore in it, but I really like the atmosphere of the anime. It reminds me more of Dororo than Rurouni Kenshin, but that's just my personal opinion. I also love the great work all the seiyuu did with this series.

Uramichi Oniisan has a unique sense of humour. I like sarcasm, but I didn't even finish the first episode when it came out. Maybe I just needed to be in a different mood to enjoy the series. I've looked into it and I still watch it with moderation (a few episodes per week), but I see the appeal of it now.

Kiznaiver was an unexpected gem too! I remember seeing it coming out and not bothering to look at the description. From the art style and character design I assumed it would be the next shounen school anime with supernatural powers and maybe aliens or mechs and fighting. Oh was I wrong! I liked the characters warming up to one another. The closure was a bit meh for my taste, but I liked all the fun and struggles and how the connections became deeper by the day.
