Yeah, an add-on for post-story content definitely sounds nice, though they're already working on Yharim and the Xeroc superboss. I don't know if they plan to add any other bosses other than those two, but that would definitely be nice. And I gave Wrath of the Gods a try, and it's actually a great mod to enjoy after finishing the main story, and Solyn's questline is very endearing. I also love that you can actually get to enjoy using all the post-Calamitas weapons on the bosses.

As for Hollow Knight, I actually pretty much completed the game, and I have to say it has definitely become one of my favorites. It's really fucking genius. Such a beautiful game from start to finish, though a few parts did give me cancer ngl (mostly White Palace and the Path of Pain). But that's not something I'd really complain about at the end of the day. It literally felt like playing a 2D Souls game, especially with a lot of concepts being reminiscent of Dark Souls, like picking up currency after death, a curse (the Infection) ruining a kingdom and making some characters lose their mind, and the City of Tears that really reminded me of Anor Londo. I also love the worldbuilding and aesthetics, gives me a mix of Nausicaä, Made in Abyss, and Dark Souls (of course) vibes. Also, that final phase with the Hollow Knight helping you beat the crap out of the Radiance and destroy the light was the coolest thing in the game. Oh, and Sealed Vessel is 100% the best OST. The way the tone shifts as the boss starts repeatedly stabbing itself to desperately fight back against the Radiance inside is both heart-wrenching and terrific. I'll just stop here since this paragraph won't end if I keep talking about every single thing I loved about the game.

Yeah, Cosmic Discharge is absolute bullshit, and I don't know why it hasn't been fixed yet. LMAO I almost did what I just saw in that video, but I felt absolutely shitty about it, so I sticked to using Excelsus, Murasama, and Galaxy Smasher. And yeah, I do remember how powerful Meowmere is in Calamity, but I sticked to using Ark of the Elements for the simple reason that it was just cooler. And for Gael's Greatsword, I totally agree. The sprite is just perfect, but the effects don't look as cool as I thought they would.

Another amazing-looking gun that completely slipped my mind and didn't mention is Voidragon. It definitely has one of the coolest sprites in the game. I totally agree with the part about Soma Prime, though. It's very underwhelming and disappointing how bland it feels compared to Kingsbane, its component. I expected something much cooler when I crafted it for the first time.

Yeah, I'll definitely read those sometime since I'm a huge fan of the manga, but I'm currently focusing on the Re:Zero novels.

My lore is more world and history oriented, with builds that add lore, but for Calamity, I like to think that the Terrarian is this hero who starts out with good intentions but slowly falls down the same path as Yharim, effectively becoming a tyrant themselves. Maybe not as brutal or cruel as him, but definitely just as destructive if not more. It soon became more about the power they acquired than for virtue.
I think I actually watched this challenge a while ago, it was really cool. And damn, that really sucks... Guess I'll do an Infernum playthrough sooner sometime, then. Still playing Hollow Knight, though.

I don't think Yharim would be past his prime, especially since it's only been a few years since he disappeared after the events. It would feel much more rewarding to have to fight him at his full power. Although I don't know much about the lore at all, so you might be right. And Xeroc is not actually Nameless Deity, he's that Monk who absorbed Zeratros' soul (who was weakened after fighting off Moonlord, I think) and became the first God, or at least from what I've read in the game boss lore items. Nameless Deity, the God of Light, is based on old Calamity lore, which is why I've been reluctant to add the mod in the first place.

To be honest, I didn't find post-Moonlord to be repetitive or anything, but it did feel a little empty compared to the rest of the game. Probably because the vanilla progression is completely over by then, but it does give it more final vibes. Hive Mind and Perforators as post-Moonlord bosses doesn't sound bad at all, though I wish they'd rework them to be more epic if it happened. But now that I think about it, not getting their amazing accessories early on would suck, so I'd wish they'd at least add a bloody worm scarf upgrade like they did with the Amalgam.
Yharon was such a cool boss fight, though I can't like that I almost lost my mind because I put him at 1% HP not one, not two, but three fucking times. Why? Because I was trying to aura farm with Murasama at the end. My fault, I guess. Also, cosmic discharge is busted. The first thing I did after defeating Yharon was getting his second phase's music box, because it's absolutely peak. Same for Supreme Calamitas, who has my favorite OST in the game. I love that you don't kill her at the end. I built for her a brimstone themed manor. Also got Gael's Greatsword from beating her in Death Mode. Not the strongest weapon, but still cool af to have. And yeah, I was using Calamity's Vanities, which also lets you craft the Tyrant's Cape that comes with it.

Being tanky is indeed cracked, but it didn't really save me from any boss near the end game. Maybe because I wasn't running pure tank as you said, because I still wanted to have fun, but it was still a very forgiving experience. Tyranny's End is beautiful, but my favorite gun design and animation goes to Kingsbane. It's one of the coolest fucking things in the game.

Hollow Knight is so good. I haven't gotten very far yet because I'm hyper focusing on Calamity, and it's still so damn slow because I build way too much. I have yet to get Silksong but I definitely will, probably on the next sale.

Honestly, it only takes a lot of time if you're willing to do a lot of questlines during those playthroughs, which I do. I have yet to play Ultrakill, and some friends have recommended it to me in the past. But hey, you know what's the coolest game to turn into your own seinen series? Terraria, all the more if it's Calamity. I mentioned building a lot, and that's because I actually expand my world building itself by giving the builds lore or even history sometimes. My next Calamity playthrough, which will be in Infernum, will feature even more of those, possibly even including mega builds, but that'll be in a long while, at least not until the next big update is released. Yeah, I don't really know of Lady Maria's story, but a woman pretending to be dead and suddenly trying to kill me doesn't exactly make my heart skip a beat, nor does it make me wanna "fix" her. I mean, I say that, but I find Eto from Tokyo Ghoul to be one of the most charming female characters, both in terms of writing and design. Such a subtly layered yet narratively deep character. I'm not much of a simp for her, but the character does fascinate me.

Ugh, I actually just found out about the scarecrow dummy thanks to you. A bit late, but still useful. Will definitely use that in future playthroughs. Also, I really don't see how Yharim should be the final boss, either. I've always seen him as that unreliable narrator who tells the story through his own distorted lens, and as you progress, you slowly begin to realize yourself that he's no badass anti-hero, but just a brutal tyrant who became completely desensitized to the ravage that he caused. And you, as the Terrarian, are just cleaning up after his and Draedon's mess. And wow, I never thought they'd actually add him. I always just thought he was the story teller, not that you'd actually meet him. I mean, I'm not opposed to it, and it does sound very conclusive, like fighting Gherman at the end of Bloodborne.
Oh, I totally get what you're saying. Post-Moonlord (who was actually so fucking cancer in Revengeance) is absolutely crazy, and I love it. The bosses are all so badass, and although some of them kinda made me lose my temper at times, they were still amazing. Ceaseless Void was especially disgusting, and he's simultaneously one of the hardest and also one of the easiest in the game. Also... I defeated DoG. By far the hardest boss in the game so far, and it took me 53 attempts to defeat him. I've never gotten pissed with him because he didn't feel unfair or broken, just painfully unforgiving. Really felt like a slap on the face compared to all the previous stuff. Yharon is next on the list.
LMAO I also found out why I was so shocked by Plaguebringer Goliath back at the time, it's because I was fighting it on the surface, and I didn't know it was enraged all that time... Still relatively simple and took me 7 attempts.
EDIT: Yharon was definitely something else. DoG wasn't upsetting in the least, but Yharon sure was, especially since I put him at 1% hp (yes, 1%) two fucking times in a row. And holy shit, I actually got the Ancient Auric Tesla Helm (0.01% chance to get) from Yharon's treasure bag, so that's one good thing that came out of my suffering. My efforts were rewarded, I guess. I actually thought I might never get it.

That actually sounds really interesting, even though I think I like class-specific stuff better. I've always thought hybrid builds that fuse two classes are kinda uncanny, and the only one I actually like the sound of is mage/summoner. I never actually go pure tank either, even when I go full warding. There's always gonna be some damage accessories there, which is what I'm doing this playthrough with my melee setup, because I really wanna benefit from the cool boosts they gave to the warding enchantment. I've never really felt like guns were weak in the vanilla game, but man are they even cooler in Calamity. I'm glad I actually decided to use ranger as my secondary class, even if it's not that often.

That's so cool, honestly. It's actually great how series that we like can get us into the much deeper stuff. Personally, Lain is the one that did it for me when it comes to psychological, and it got me into the genre. It's still one of my favorites to this day. And sorry to disappoint, but I haven't progressed in any of them. The reason is because I'm focusing on other things in my free time, such as Calamity and Hollow Knight, which I finally decided to play after years.

Totally. I also love second playthroughs since they let you shape your playthrough the way you like since you already learned pretty much everything the first time around. As for me, I mostly stick to around the same stuff, and it's pretty much always the options that have swords. And yeah, my playthroughs are very much like a seinen series lol. I always like to make them in a way that feels like this is how the game should really be (in my own edgy viewpoint). LMAO Lady Maria is definitely beautiful and he's definitely not the first one to simp for her, but surprisingly, I never simped for her myself (I just can't). I defeated her pretty easily, though. I say that, but I was mostly spamming the charged R2 of Holy Moonlight Sword (flashbacks to Astora Greatsword). That shit is nasty. I'm more of a Doll simp. Victorian women are just it for me. Which is also why I quickly fell for the Maid in Fata Morgana. Also noted the Kirby games, by the way. Might try them out if I ever wanna play something chill, compared to what I usually myself into.

Yeah, the big shirtless sleeves combined with either an open cleavage or a turtle neck is just so overused. Not just in Genshin, but pretty much everywhere. Come to think of it, this reminds of Hatsune Miku. It's an actually cool design but yeah, it's overused. As for the cleavage, it's just very efficient goon magnet. Another design trope in Gacha games is the post-apocalyptic setting... But to be honest, I feel like ZZZ is still the one with the most personality, especially when it comes to characters and designs.

I thought I'd be struggling a lot more on my first playthrough, but far from it. It's been going really great. And thanks for the info, but what the hell? Who woke up in the morning and thought that would be a good idea? I'm glad I sticked to Expert Revengeance, even though it's not nearly as difficult as I imagined (or at least not yet), and as you said, it's definitely easier than vanilla Master. Thanks a lot for recommending QoT by the way. I wouldn't say it breaks the game in any way, it just makes the experience much more comfortable. I especially love the banner box, potion bag, and active buff stations thing. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that it stops the corruption from spreading entirely. Honestly, I wanna worry about other things than having to constantly repurify everything when playing Calamity, so that's great. I decided not to play with Wrath of the Gods since it feels very anti-climactic to me. Calamitas is the final boss and it should stay that way. As for my playthrough itself, I decided to go for a safe melee (can never go wrong with that) with ranger as my secondary class. It's a slow playthrough since there's a lot of exploring to do (amazing world and story telling by the way) and even more building. But I like it that way. The last boss I defeated was Astrum Aureus, who's very cool-looking, and yeah, he's 100% the hardest so far. Of the 10 times I fought him, I only managed to defeat him two times, but except the ancient auric tesla helm, I got all the loot I wanted from him, so that's good. But seriously, why did they have to make that item so rare?
EDIT: Plaguebringer Goliath was worse by far but I managed to defeat it on my seventh attempt. Really badass, though, as tragic as it is. Plague armor set and weapons are so fucking cool.

True, the whole process of making Zenith feels very rewarding, like you've really come to the very top, which is what its name implies. It makes the weapon impossible to not appreicate. I like that Calmaity has the same concept with a bunch of weapons, not just swords. There's even a mod that adds a bunch of Zenith weapons that are craftable in the same way. Not that I'm saying I'd like that added to the game, but it would be cool to consider something like that. Your loadouts are interesting, but mine don't even combine classes, it's just a damage/tank thing, where I use a few accessories such as the frozen shield, brain of confusion/master ninja gear, or celestial shell and the rest is just damage stuff. And like I said, I basically came back to the game after 5 years, so my meta was very old... including the chain gun. I could've sworn it used to be much more powerful before, but I still used it because it shoots a lot and breaks your ears and it keeps my brain happy. My love for guns is also the reason I never took interest in bows and just stuck to spammy weapons and shotguns, because they're cool af.
