Wau. Yeah it really has been a long time. Dang. Time flies by really fast.
I'm currently Touhou-pilled so I'm journaling about it.
I'm trying to remember what started it. Like yes I did play Touhou Luna Nights but I wasn't Touhou-pilled yet.
this is Akyuu btw, my favorite Touhou character. She's the one sitting down and writing after you save through the telephone. She's like a recorder of events. She remembers everything that she sees so she has the ultimate journaling ability, which I also wish I had too ;-;. I don't remember when I exactly started getting Touhou-pilled. Though it's definitely after journaling about Saki.
Checking from my journal, seems like I journaled after... Uma Musume. S3 sucks btw, at least based on the start. Cinderella Grey is definitely a 10. Same with S1 and S2.
Ah, so this is the order: Touhou <--- Saki <--- Uma Musume <--- Umineko
Actually that Steamed Hams Umineko parody is what made me believe in Umineko again after hating it for the horrible writing, or translation rather. Being too literal and repetitive. But yeah I'm Touhou-pilled now so it'll be another time before I get back into Umineko and see what's up with episode 2.
Saki on the other hand is a banger ofc. Great anime. 10. Hype is super awesome :rumiahappy:. Fun characters with each having their awesome mahjong moments which creates momentum but then other characters stop their momentum with their own different strategies which creates momentum shifts which then also throw the other players (as well as the audience) off. Like super awesome.
As for how I got into Touhou... like those screenshots from earlier were back in 5/21/25, which is the 2nd video journaling session. It's the 3rd session of me playing Touhou Luna Nights if you count the first one where I was testing things out for like 5 minutes hence no recording.
But yeah I was super interested in Akyuu's character for her ability to just record. Like after you go to a telephone pole, make a call, tell her the details of your session, and she'll record your session hence the history of your gameplay is saved, like I found her to be super duper interesting. Like it just made me wonder about her a lot. Definitely my most favorite Touhou character right now.
Like even more so now that I've learned that she has her own encyclopedia called the "Touhou Gumon Shiki ~ Perfect Memento in Strict Sense" that was published back in 2006... wau...
Like in that encyclopedia you get to read information of places, characters, incidents, types of youkai, etc. and etc., and I'd love to buy a copy of it. Unfortunately no English versions exists as of yet (though I may change that in the future with the power of capitalism) but I'm fine with the Japanese raws for now.
But yeah the fun part of this encyclopedia is that while Akyuu may remember everything that she experiences, the information that she may hear from characters may not be accurate, like characters overestimating their own powers, or characters who are mysterious enough that she makes her own guesses, or characters she has beef with so she says bad things about them XD.
Yeah I love Akyuu. Super duper love her. She's so interesting and it made me think of making a fanfiction of her where she could like draw the same things as the best artists in Gensokyo since she could remember how they drew them from memory, same with playing music, oh and also like for example let's say a character flies and brings her up in the sky, and she gets to see a beautiful sight of Gensokyo from high above, she'd be able to remember that and draw it from memory. There are actually artists in the world right now who have photographic memory and can make art based on that, which just makes Akyuu much more fun for me.
Like in Forbidden Scrollery, (only the first few chapters btw), she can memorize texts from ancient scrolls which have not yet been deciphered, and perhaps as more information arises on how to decipher the text, she's able to understand the ancient scrolls bit by bit.
Like ajsoidjwoqjdvgmpo, I love Akyuu!!!
Man it's been a while since I've gotten super obsessed with a character. Like it's because of her journaling potential. Ah I forgot to mention that she's the 9th Hieda, which is basically like...
Touhou Wiki said: Hieda is the ninth in a long chain of reincarnations of the "Child of Miare". Because of this, her memory goes back over 1200 years despite her young age. Historically, the role of the Children of Miare has been to collect and compile information on the various youkai and youkai hunters living in Gensokyo, as well as to compile historical articles, which are published as part of the Gensokyo Chronicle.
Ty. Oh, and Gensokyo Chronicle is basically the writings of the history of Gensokyo. If she can remember from her past reincarnations, it's like... wau... it makes me think about the previous Child of Miare's. Like they must have had some silly slice of life experiences with previous youkai and celestials and tengu and... Idk, I'm still a Touhou beginner. I don't know everything. But it does make me wonder about the nostalgia factor too. Like... the fanfiction potential is off the charts.
Though yeah still need to learn more about Touhou in order to pull of such fanfiction, or make my own, except then I would need to also research about Japanese history and gods and youkai and lore and etc.. Shoutout to Sekibanki.
She's the girl with multiple heads. I still don't know much about her besides a touhou fan saying that she eats oil lamp, which is what humans make. Youkai thrive off of the fear of humans, or dreams, or even whatever they create like oil lamp, which I found to be very silly but I like that type of lore XD. Though that's from Japanese folklore, I'm not exactly sure if that was stated in the Touhou games plus Sekibanki is like a minor character I think so yeah. But she's a part of the red-haired Touhou girls so yay :).
Also had a main character idea based of Akyuu. Since she's based on Akyuu, her name must be similar to Akyuu's. Akyuu... Yuuka... that switch. Yay :). But then it turned into Yuuna because of another character I've thought of in the past whose name is Hannah Pirouette. Hapi, Happy. Thought of her as an idol detective to Sheryl from Tantei Opera Milky Holmes.
Thought about just combining into Yuuka Hannah Pirouette but that's kinda long so "Yuu" and "na" were instead merged to Yuuna Pirouette. It's a great thing though because Yuuna means sunflower, which then equals absorption of energy from the sun and so she gets to radiate that bright and warm energy around her creating a happy and cozy atmosphere. Pirouette basically means spin. So she spins 360 as in she sees everything in her surroundings and appreciates everything. Since she's based on Akyuu she also has perfect memory. Which means she can draw as great sights
(takes water break)
from memory. Also just got an idea, she'd also love cameras because drawing can take too much time. Being able to picture journal and record journal means she loves cameras with the biggests of storage sizes. And she gets to share so much of them with so many different characters because she travels around the world. Pirouette means spin which can also pertain to spinning around the world, hence lots of travelling! :remiliasurprised:. Yeah life's super fun.
However another idea is that since Yuuna means sunflower, her ability could be related to light, and sometime recently I wondered about how the heck cameras worked and I just thought of a theory where the lens simply capture the light which imprints into the paper which can absorb color on command of click and bam. So perhaps Yuuna instead of bring a camera, she has a big backpack full of lots of paper in it plus lens that help direct it into the paper of all different sizes and with her light power she captures it.
Wau. Human imagination is amazing. Oh and "Wau" is a Touhou Hisoutensoku reference btw. Idk why, and I tried finding out why in a wiki, and it simply says "Wau: Wau". Fair enough :). Wau. Oh and it's a Touhou fighting game. Akyuu's not really a fighter so ;-;.
Though it has been said in the Spell Card Rules (which were made because of the Vampire Incident) that humans can be able to chant whatever move they've thought of so that they can be able to fairly compete with youkai and vice-versa with celestials and overpowered characters and etcetera. Like it does make me wonder about how that works. Still new to Touhou so Idk yet.
Anyways that's enough Touhou. Last time I commented on your profile is... back in July of 2023... wau...
And the post before that contains a link to a blog by someone. Their newest post is about Girls Band Cry. Nice. 10 anime. "All Style No Substance". Can respect that. Actually might agree if I analyze the anime more. Still a 10 regardless because of its themes of rebellion. Unfortunately missed that in the last episodes which made me disappointed after finishing it, and mad right now for lost potential best ending episode. What's the point of an anime that doesn't start great? Same for the ending.
Ah, reading my past comments and yeah... self-improvement community didn't turn out well as I stopped believing in the leader. And went back to my NEET ways because who cares about other people anymore. They all suck.
I want ambition but no one has ambition.
No one inspires me enough to make me realize the power of anything. To believe in anything. Be it in making stories, or making YouTube videos, or making music, making art, doing a job that actually gives purpose...
Like the jobs my parents gave me are absolute fucking trash that made me wanna [redacted] myself which I never knew that it was possible to experience the same level of depression and anger that I had back in 2020. Like wow... ...
Like school? Trash. You learn nothing. Proof? Based on my experience at my previous jobs, there was a young man who finished college, and desparately shared their CV when I was sending ads in WhatsApp. What a fucking joke.
How desperate do you have to fucking be to send a CV to a guy who sends out ads? What a sad life.
Unfortunately can't say that mine's different. Not that I've done that but I mean if you get a job in today's society, it's called nepotism. I'm proof of that.
But yeah either nepotism or you're actually skilled af. Like I'm looking at the pages in Forbidden Scrollery and I loved the simpleness of such professional manga. Moe Harukawa is awesome.
But it does make me wonder about how she's able to have a passion for art at such a young age that she's able to be hired by a big company.
Where's my passion? Or at least, a passion that's actually valuable.
Yes I have a passion for journaling, and yes based on my past fanfiction writing I definitely have the potential to create even better friendships and descriptions and dialogue than my favorite works like Gawoware and Higurashi VN, but why do I not actualize this potential?
...
Like yes I have limitations here and there but clearly I still have some delimitations.
If I can't make videos with my voice, then I can still write and make visual novels if I want. Nothing's stopping me from making a fan cult of my own.
The only requirement for a fan cult is: MAKE THE BEST GAME THAT WILL DEFINE THAT DECADE
For example, Undertale. How tf did that get popular? Simply. Great music, great dialogue, great humor, great characters, unique vibe, gripping story, complicated relationships, lore, shocking truths, great art, great gameplay, like just make everything great no matter how small the detail.
Same applies with Higurashi actually.
That's really all it takes to make a fan cult.
"But it's hard".
Shut up, everything's hard so that reason doesn't actually matter.
So why don't I do anything?
Simple.
Who cares?
That's all there is to it really. If creating a super passionate fandom is what I wanted to do, then I would have already worked on it right now. If I truly wanted to have a super passionate fandom where fans will notice little details and then say "WAIT I FIGURED OUT THE HIDDEN MEANING BY HIMESTAR IDOL'S SONG!!!!! IF YOU TAKE A DIFFERENT MEANING FROM THE 2ND LINE IN THE 3RD VERSE, THEN YOU WOULD SEE WHAT SHE WAS REFERRING TOO. OHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" and bam fans go crazy from a newly hidden discovered meaning which I may or may not have intended.
The date "09-09-09" (Wednesday September 9, 2009 09:09:09, more specifically) has been named "Cirno Day" for obvious reasons. For some reason, numerous aspects of this day everything could be translated into or connected with nine. For example: September 9 is the 252nd day of the year and 2 + 5 + 2 = ⑨, you need 9 letters to type "Wednesday" or "September", and Japan's timezone is +9. Other names for this day include "The Strongest Day" and "⑨ Day".
Legendary.
Perhaps I'll try The Great Fairy Wars if it's for Cirno.
Oh and definitely every game where Akyuu is for some reason the main character.
Anyways, just like me in the past, I still type as much as always. Journaling for 16+ hours a day.
This spacing thing is something I've developed when I made my ideas section for Touhou characters.
Currently only has Hieda no Akyuu, Marisa, Sakuya, and Sekibanki.
Touhou beginner indeed.
But yeah it feels much more readable to make my ideas have one space each.
Actually before that I was writing so yeah I definitely got it from there.
Anyways I've typed enough. Proof that I have the potential to create super passionate fandoms? Simple, I know therefore I can. It was never about hardship but rather caring despite hardships. I've journaled even through the toughest times of my life to try and convince myself to stay alive. And here I am now. :). Journaling will always stay with me till the day I die, (and perhaps as well as into future reincarnations just like Akyuu I hope. She's the infinite journaling master. :remilianeed:)
Yep I'm still the same Monologue Demon as I was in the past. Definitely can create a character like that if I want to. Create a section in a game where you're sneaking inside a huge submarine and in one of the rooms is a fan-favorite character who will monologue for 8 hours straight and then sleep. And after 8 hours of sleeping when you catch her waking up, she monologues about whatever random interests she finds thanks to the power of oceanternet. And then she monologues for 16 hours straight.
How silly. That kind of dedication to journaling for literally 16 hours straight should teach people how many hours there are in a day, and how much you could experience in a day.
Yeah. Just remembered that now. Heh how long I've been journaling for? Must have been 2 hours.
WAIT! IT'S ACTUALLY NEARLY BEEN 2 HOURS AND A HALF!!!
Life's fun :). Alr gg. Oh and don't worry about replying with as much length. I'm rarer than legendary anime :).
Actually not really now that I remember I found someone who journals just like me but they left the server I randomly joined so we just missed each other unfortunately plus you can't send DMs to people ;-;.
:remiliashrug:. Such is the way of life. Would be nice to find legendary creators who are ambitious af to the point where they know that they could actually create the best games or anime.
Example would be Katawa Shoujo on 4chan.
The most boring people to meet are places where you'd think you'd be able to find talented people, like visual novel servers, but it turns out those are the most trashiest places to find the most boring visual novels ever. Or at least you don't care about the same thing as they do.
Same applies back when I tried to find an animation community to follow back in 2023. They all were either dead servers or they all sucked.
None of them had any ambition whatsoever. Oh and visual novel server finding was back in 2024.
Friend said: It's kind of refreshing to talk to someone who doesn't know touhou tbh
all the servers I'm in are touhou focused
I said: Hahaha
I wonder what happens in there
Like full on super Touhou fan talk?
Because if you join an anime server
Friend said: unspeakable horrors XD
Me said: Nobody talks about anime ever
O-oh...
Awesome!
Does make me wonder about the Touhou fandom though. If none of them are Akyuu fans then I don't care. I want Akyuu information nukes dropping on me. Nothing else.
The internet is so damn boring. To think that the world is still so small that not even the most obscure things have dedication to them. Example being Gawoware Light Novel still having only 4 chapters (+ a few more though I forgot the count) translated...
There have been a lot of memes about the death of Akyuu, but ZUN stated (sorry cannot find the source, maybe this) that Touhou has "Sazae-san time" time, so nobody ages and nobody will die. But fans are interested if ZUN will kill Akyuu because of her lore or he wouldn't because of "Sazae-san" and not to make Akyuu fans sad. That is why a lot of people talk about it.
AKYUUU NOOO DON'T DIE!!!!!
Ehem. The internet is super fun. Well it is fun if you actually have people who likes the same things as you but unfortunately that's just as rare too. At least for westerners who like anime from the past rather than being a boring trashy generic fan of the present.
Hm I wonder if the lack of appreciation for the present aka airing shows is related to me not caring about creating my own fan cult since I don't think it matters anyways.
I guess I should find ZUN interviews to at least understand why he's able to create such a big world full of overpowered anime girls.
this man is a liar and a coward, afraid to stand proud and shout out to the world that he has watched icons in animation such as failure frame, the most notorious yapper, gibiate, and more

Ah, so this is the order: Touhou <--- Saki <--- Uma Musume <--- Umineko
Super Honorable Mention: Steamed Hams but it's a playable episode of Umineko no Naku Koro ni

None of them had any ambition whatsoever. Oh and visual novel server finding was back in 2024.
It's kind of refreshing to talk to someone who doesn't know touhou tbh
all the servers I'm in are touhou focused
Hahaha
I wonder what happens in there
Like full on super Touhou fan talk?
Because if you join an anime server
unspeakable horrors XD
Nobody talks about anime ever
O-oh...
