A timeless and truly unique classic.
I’m not a big fan of episodic shows but Cowboy Bebop plays in a league of its own. Each episode feels alive, as if the characters are genuinely living their days rather than following a script.
The animation quality is still stunning for its time, with more attention to detail than some modern anime.
The voice acting, sound design, and music are absolutely top-tier. You can feel the care put into every scene, from the stylish and energetic opening “Tank!” to the melancholic and soulful ending “The Real Folk Blues.”
Every character feels real and relatable in their own way and you
...
can see how each of them grows throughout their journeys.
I wished the story explored Spike and Jet’s pasts a bit more, but even with what we get, their stories feel meaningful and complete.
Beyond its stylish action and smooth jazz vibes, Cowboy Bebop carries profound life lessons. It shows that we can never truly escape our past, that loneliness is an inseparable part of being human, and that life itself is made of fleeting, disconnected moments.
Beneath the bounty hunting and cool aesthetic lies something deeply human: the search for meaning, connection, and a place to belong in an endless, empty universe, while learning to accept both life and death as parts of the same beautiful, transient journey.
See you, Space Cowboy...

Kill la Kill is pure madness and an absolute wild ride from start to finish.
The action hits like a caffeine overdose, every fight with Ryuko and her scissor blade is pure chaos, energy blasting off the screen, and the hype just keeps building with each episode.
The story might not grab you immediately at the very start, but it quickly becomes intense, wild, and absolutely thrilling, and it keeps surprising you with bigger twists and wilder stakes as it goes.
Ryuko herself is a freaking legend, tough and reckless, but with a surprisingly vulnerable, human side that makes you actually care. The supporting cast is
...
just as colorful and over the top, each character adding their own energy and flavor to the chaos.
Visually and musically, this show is like an acid trip in the best possible way. Bold, colorful, and ridiculously stylish. The animation is smooth, the action sequences are insane, and the soundtrack hits exactly when it needs to, amplifying every moment. Some of the comedy and over the top exaggeration can feel a bit much at times, but it actually fuels the chaotic energy of the show and makes the ride even more insane and unforgettable.
Sure, there’s a lot of fanservice and ridiculous moments that might make you roll your eyes, but that’s part of the charm.
Kill la Kill knows it’s ridiculous, embraces it, and turns it into one of the most hype filled, entertaining, and unforgettable anime experiences out there. Not flawless, but a solid 9/10 from me.

Moonrise or Moonfall?
This show is like a feast for your eyes.
The visuals are gorgeous, smooth animation, good art style, and action sequences that actually make you go “wow”.
The character designs are solid too, and the music and sound effects really sell the intense sci-fi vibe.
Honestly, it’s a treat if you just want to watch something that looks and sounds amazing.
Now, here’s where it trips over its own rocket boosters.
The storytelling and character development? Let’s just say they didn’t get the memo. Random time skips pop up like “surprise, you’re five years later!” and if the characters didn’t awkwardly explain it, you’d
...
have no clue what’s happening.
Tons of questions come up, almost none get answered, and it feels like someone just pressed fast-forward on a show that had crazy potential.
After all, the eye candy and fun action kept me glued until the end, so I can’t hate it completely. It’s like ordering a fancy dessert that looks incredible, tastes okay, but leaves you wishing the chef had spent a little more time on the main course. Moonrise could’ve been legendary, but it ends up being flashy fun with a story that forgot to show up.
Went from Moonrise to Moonfall.

When I was a kid, I watched this movie and didn’t really understand much of it, but I liked it. Still I knew there were unanswered questions in the story. Last year, after I joined MAL, I added it to my completed list and rated it 6/10. Recently I rewatched it and realized that was a fair score.
I haven’t read the Earthsea novels, but from what I know this adaptation changes a lot. The issue is that the movie spends too much time on slow, uneventful scenes instead of really exploring the characters or building the story.
Arren, Therru, Ged, Tenar, and Cob all raise
...
questions that the movie barely touches. Arren’s shadow feels vague and unresolved, Therru’s past is even more unclear, and Tenar sums up her history and connection with Ged in just a couple of lines, which isn’t enough for the audience to connect with. Cob was probably the biggest question mark of all, his very existence felt confusing, let alone his actions or goals.
What makes the movie worth watching, though, is its presentation. The animation is beautiful and full of detail, the soundtrack fits perfectly, and the darker tone gives it a unique identity compared to most Ghibli works. My fav part of this movie is Cob’s castle. Its design is fantastic and gives off the vibe of Count Dracula’s castle, almost like a Nosferatu-inspired atmosphere.
Even when the story loses focus, these elements keep it engaging.
In the end, Tales from Earthsea feels like a movie caught between ambition and execution. It reaches for depth but doesn’t quite manage to flesh out its characters or answer the questions it raises. Still its visual strength and atmosphere make it stand out, even if the narrative leaves you unsatisfied. My 6/10 reflects that middle ground: a flawed but memorable movie that could have been more, yet still leaves its mark.

I don't know... Sonny Boy and I just didn’t vibe that well. The beginning pulled me in with its mysterious atmosphere and strange worlds, but the deeper I went, the more disconnected I felt. The characters never clicked with me, they felt more like symbols than people I could actually care about.
The dialogue often made things worse instead of clearer. It felt like the show wanted to say something profound, but ended up burying it under unnecessary ambiguity. That mystery vibe I liked at first slowly turned into something tiring and by the end I was more confused than intrigued.
Speaking of the ending, I honestly
...
didn't get it. Maybe there is a lot of hidden meaning that some people find brilliant, but for me it just left too many unanswered questions. Still I have to admit: the art style was unique, the animation looked great, and the atmosphere at times was really impactful.
Overall, Sonny Boy was more of a distant experience than an emotional one for me. I know many consider it a masterpiece, but it just did not resonate with me. I would give it a 6/10, points for its creativity, visuals, and ambition, but the story and characters left me cold.

Maybe my review feels a little redundant among the countless ones already written about this anime, but I still wanted to share my thoughts.
Death Note is, simply put, a masterpiece in the thriller genre. The art style is striking in its own unique way, the soundtrack is powerful and atmospheric, and the voice acting is phenomenal. Combined, these elements create an immersive and gripping atmosphere.
The story itself is utterly fascinating. It grabs you by the throat and refuses to let you look away. The psychological duel between Light and L is the heart of the series, delivering some of the most intense and memorable moments
...
I have ever seen in anime. The scene where L first introduces himself to Light, boldly declaring “I'am L”, is burned into my memory. It's chilling and absolutely brilliant.
Oh, and about Ryuk, my favorite Shinigami. He’s both terrifying and oddly hilarious, carrying a unique part of the show’s charm on his bony shoulders. With his love for apples, his sharp, often unsettling remarks, and his eerie amusement at humanity’s chaos, he becomes more than just an observer. As he watches Light descend deeper into madness, Ryuk slowly realizes the horrifying potential a human holds to become something far darker than any god of death could ever be.
That said, there is no denying the infamous decline later in the series. The tension cools off noticeably, and the new dynamics do not quite reach the heights of what came before. Some characters, including L himself, could have used a little more development to deepen their impact.
Even so, Death Note remains an unforgettable experience. Its highs are so incredibly high that its flaws feel almost insignificant in comparison. For me, it was so enjoyable and impactful that I could only bring myself to dock a single point, hence a solid 9/10.
It's not just an anime, it's a cultural touchstone that redefined what psychological thrillers in anime could be. If you have not seen it yet, you are missing one of the most iconic battles of wits in modern storytelling.

First of all, I have to say that even though this anime is pretty old, it doesn’t suffer from one of the biggest problems a lot of shows from its era have: slow pacing. The storytelling could’ve been a little cleaner, but overall the flow was solid and kept things moving.
For its time, the animation holds up really well, with excellent voice acting and a soundtrack that perfectly fits the chaotic, mafia-driven atmosphere. The story is exciting and fast-paced, keeping you engaged almost all the time. That said, the constant tension combined with the frequent time jumps can get a little confusing, I often had
...
to pause and piece together exactly what just happened.
The characters are fun, memorable, and easy to connect with, though I felt some of them could’ve been fleshed out more. Isaac and Miria, for example, were absolutely hilarious and charming, I couldn’t take my eyes off them whenever they were on screen. But it’s a bit of a shame that we never got to see how they first met; I would’ve loved to see more depth there instead of them being just the comic relief.
Overall, Baccano! is a wild and thoroughly enjoyable ride. Definitely recommended if you’re into mafia stories mixed with mystery and a touch of insanity.

What really blew me away with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners wasn’t just the action or the flashy animation, but how much raw emotion it managed to pack into such a short series. From the very first episode, it throws you into Night City’s chaos, and before you even realize it, you’re deeply attached to the characters.
Studio Trigger, as always, brings its unique art style to the table, vibrant and colorful on the surface, yet concealing a much darker core filled with raw emotional depth. The beautiful soundtrack amplifies this atmosphere even further, making every scene hit harder.
The pacing can feel a bit fast, but honestly that fits
...
the setting, Night City doesn’t slow down for anyone, and that constant rush makes the quieter moments hit even harder. The story is brutal, heartbreaking, and yet full of heart at the same time. By the time it ended, it left me emotionally wrecked in the best possible way.
If I had to point out one flaw, it’s that there isn’t much of a backstory showing how the gang came together or who they really are. I especially wished to know more about Lucy and Rebecca. Still the characters remain relatable and emotionally grounded.
In the end, this is a masterpiece for any sci-fi fan. Stylish, emotional, and unforgettable.

PEAK CINEMA; Pluto is a masterpiece. It’s a slow burn, but every moment feels intentional and meaningful.
The beautiful soundtrack and fitting animation amplify the heavy atmosphere, pulling you deeper into the world and its characters. From the very beginning, it sets a dark and heavy tone, and it keeps building on that with every episode.
What stood out the most is how deeply human it feels. Sure, it’s a sci-fi about robots and the future, but the way it explores grief, morality, and what it means to be alive makes it so much more than just another futuristic thriller. The characters feel real, even the
...
ones who aren’t technically human.
It’s also worth mentioning that Pluto is based on the “The Greatest Robot on Earth” arc from Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy. Knowing that, it’s amazing to see how the story has been reimagined in such a mature and emotional way. It follows Gesicht, a detective investigating mysterious murders targeting both humans and powerful robots, and the only clue left behind is a pair of horns placed on each victim’s body. As the investigation unfolds, he becomes entangled in questions of identity, emotion, and the thin line between human and machine.
Some people might say the pacing is a bit slow, and yeah it doesn’t rush at all, but it worked perfectly for me. It let the story breathe, and gave me the space to really take in the atmosphere and the emotions behind every moment.
By the end, I realized it’s not just a story about conflict, but about empathy, memory, and the weight of our choices. That’s why it hit so hard for me and why I can’t rate it anything less than a 10/10. It’s one of those rare anime that stays with you long after the credits roll.

Watching Mirai Nikki is like stepping into a cage where time, love, and death are constantly at war. Every diary is a loaded gun, every character a pawn dancing on the edge of insanity. Blood paints the story, and trust is nothing but a cruel joke.
Yuno Gasai isn’t just a character, she’s a storm in human form. A goddess of obsession, wielding love as both a weapon and a promise of salvation. She’s terrifying. She’s intoxicating. She’s the reason you can’t look away.
Yet, shadows remain. Some players in this deadly game are left underdeveloped, and the godlike puppeteer behind it all whispers questions that will
...
never find answers. But maybe that’s exactly why it lingers, because madness is never neat, and obsession never makes sense.
Mirai Nikki doesn’t ask if you’re ready. It drags you in, claws first, and leaves you scarred. Not perfect. Not clean. But unforgettable.
