Ikr, the tension between Shane and Illya is like...woah get a room, but wait, they're mostly together only in a room. They need to talk more, and not only through texts, and Ilya needs to share things with Shane. That's what I thought at the end of episode two. And yeah, the series is very fast paced, i was not expecting them to hook up right at the start, but heyy not complaining. And I'm dying of anticipation, I need to know how the story unfolds, especially after episode three was not them but another couple. The second couple was cute..and more anxiety ridden, but the rivalry tension is what's keeping me on edge.

A good enemies-to-lovers is food that I never let go of...my favorite genre while reading romance books too (I love reading novels, what about you? do you read?)

I read ganbare nakamura yesterday, both parts, while the first part was very funny and cute, the second volume was a little less enjoyable but nonetheless I liked reading it, waiting for the anime ~I wonder if they are going to adapt both the parts..

This was my first time reading/watching chinese BL too, and it's insane how good their animation is. I'm also going to watch more from the same author MXTX. I liked how she portrayed romance. Because them being two guys is not everything there is to it, there's so much more. That's what I liked about it. But if you do get into it, I recommend reading the lore somewhere, even if just a little bit, then get into the donghua(animation) and if you like it, then give the manhwa a read. But its a veryyyyy slow burn. In the novels, they kiss after three books. And the art in manhwa is sooo good. Also, due to chinese censorship, we don't get anything explicit, but the hand holding, the subtle eye contact, the smirks....they're seriously everything.

For Fight Club we noticed the fact early on that Marla was the only who ever hinted that the two were the same people, because after the sexy time The personality wouldn't look at her, every rule made by Tyler p.2 was so calculated that we realize by the time of reveal, no one distinguished between the two people for the rules, even if people say that the movie goes much beyond anarchy, the fact is that it directly straps into it, so while discussing it we cannot ignore that fact, the end my seem disturbingly romantically happy, but it isn't because even after few years to maintain order a political system would need to rise back again even if it takes a while, implying that the whole ordeal was a waste of time, life and rights, Their happy anarchy would lead to more destruction + the fact that no woman was involved in the fight club also implies their could be a rerise in the patriarchal society, much like the french revolution women would be raped and abused till they unite against the men, which is disturbing to say the least and shows the bad side of man never being able to ask a woman for help, he clearly cared for marla but acted as if he hated her existence in the start, he felt love but couldn't understand it, because men lie to themselves, showing how important a mother, a wife and a daughter or a female friend is in society to maintain some sanity, because most bro's wouldn't stop you from drinking unless you were ultra pro max close!!!

It was also apparent that the amount of time tyler relied on his persona, fed it to the point that it wanted to became the real personality, the horror is even though that persona didn't have another soul, it could have easily erased tyler, but the fact that it was tyler's persona prevents that fact, because he'd have the same iq+ the upper hand of an actual actual physical form, which led him to his victory over the other personality, the start where marla and tyler went to different places to stop their internal suffering was already quite disruptive...

Tyler Durden is the real name of both personalities, and they represent both sides of insanity, mania and depression. I don't think his id would contradict this, and wouldn't really resolve which personality is the real one, because we are looking through the eyes of only one personality (which may be distorting the "truth" that the audience sees)

Although the mania personality seems to control many of the situations, it is because the depressed side has no motivation to control his surroundings, which is why the only time we see the depressed side in control is at the end ("the gun is in my hands").

Psychosis could affect anyone, so I don't know if this is even valid to say that a "normal and bored to death office worker would not develop a split personality.

The movie also deconstructs the idea of politic where loud mouths would win over actual good leader, because the person who promises you with the best in all world is the one you'd wanna believe, indicating hpw stupidly leader'd are attracted and how they clearly destroy the country with their stupid ass decisions...

Your (my depressed persona) is boring and blank because he is hopelessly depressed and unmotivated. His self esteem is actually very low, which is why he visits self-help groups, and buys things for his apartment. He believed himself to be no better than them, even though that is not the fact and he can clearly have a better life if e fell in love with marla a little earlier, but that would cause him to became like any other ordinary man living an mundane boring life!!!

It is difficult to know whose perspective the movie is actually taking place from, but we can assume it is from the depressed persona because it's his voice who is narrating, but this could be flipped to say that it's the mania's internal monologue that sounds like the depressed persona.

So I would conclude that both split personalities share the same name, and it is somewhat indeterminate which character is the "real" one.

One theory that I've heard is that as the movie progresses, he becomes more and more insane, and more of the movie is just in his head. For instance, with Marla, it makes more sense that she is, at least in part, one of Tyler's personalities, which could be proven because she joins some support groups that would obviously not want her there (like testicular cancer).

With that, I think it's possible that Tyler creates new personalities based off people he has met. For instance, Marla may have been a real person, and even Bob, but at some point, Tyler stops interacting with the real versions of them, and begins interacting with their personalities in his mind. All of Tyler's personalities have abnormal human qualities, like Marla walking through a very busy road without getting hit, or Bob's hormonal imbalance, mania's attractive anarchy, even Ricky's loyalty after Tyler wails on him during a fight.

I think near the end, Tyler is in his own world, the banks never blew up, Marla was never his girl, nor was she captured, Tyler's loyal followers weren't there to attend to him, but it's almost certain that Tyler took a bullet to the head.

That theory will safeguard the world from the atrocity anarchy is hidden under the facade of freedom, I wanna be free, but hate the fuck out of anarchy, it suxs ass!!!

So in the end who do u think the real tyler is, I wanna believer it's the hotter guy, than anarchy theory would work, if depressed boy, than all in his head theory works...

ADD ON FOR FIGHT CLUB

hmm i never heard of serious philosophy viewing god as a bored tyrant, the closest ideology there is, is just where the god is tyrannical or have evil qualities, but these are all ideas that rose from abrahamic religions (christianity) in the west, the closest one to your idea is anti-calvinism. first of all, calvinism is, i quote from google:

the Protestant theological system of John Calvin and his successors, which develops Luther's doctrine of justification by faith alone and emphasizes the grace of God and the doctrine of predestination.

meanwhile anti-calvinism:

These anti-Calvinists argued that such a doctrine made God into an "arbitrary tyrant," imposing His will without justice or goodness, which they found unacceptable.

however these views are only applicable if you adopt the abrahamic view of god in the first place, because in abrahamic religions there is no reincarnation, no law of karma, what you do and your fate is predestined (kind of), hence the "tyranny", but if you believe in karmic punishment, reincarnation and such, then what you reap is pretty much what you sow, at least this is how i see it.

though personally i have an entirely different view of god and the universe, i had atheism phase in high school but my view is just really different and more developed now, at least according to me.

now adding the theory of Abrahamic religion, and making the main character it's proxy is spine thrilling... not really, just wanted to use that, it may be over dramatized version of fact, but this is how the audience turns a masterpiece story into a legendary one... freaking, I'm scared of religion, so I'm a better atheist for now,,, for my sanity and such!!! but actually am an agnostic

Scream Franchise

I started out with Scream and given till now!!!

The fifth one had tiktok moments that were great but an insufferable bad actress, same as movie 4 which had an bad actress as an villain, who ruined their solid writing, to the point that I believe director adjusted the script to make the actresses weakness her strength...

they disrespected the director of the first four movies by adding him in as a character in the fifth movie for him to have the dumb blonde scene where the sexy gal bathes and dies in the shower instead it was the guy version and had the gull to say that this shit was devoted to the og director, who made such beautifully intrsting scenes, except the death choices, because he was also a coward who did not let more than his three main characters live and the 5th killed off one of the mains in such an unsatisfying way...

the actress of forth villainess was bad but the scenes with her getting media fame was so well done, only if they added a good actress, in the 2nd movies the sydney's theatre scene was goated, third had some of my personal fav. character with less screentime... fourth film had the best starting part, followed by the sixth film....

when we rached the 5th movies ending we researched upon each of the characters we didn't know about, because we are couple of nerds, and learnt that sydney's boyfriend impreganated the cheerleader who was dissing sydney in the first movie, in the fourth movie the sydney's cosion manipulates her besties crush, makres him kill her and then killed him,, she made him love her first, overlaying the cheating segment of first movie which hzppened in the 4th one but was explained in the 5th one(11 years later), they also dissed the 4th movie and again replayed the cheating segment as billy(sidney's bf)'s daughter's bf cheated in her with his liile sister's best friend and that movie had the most obvious killers out of all of them with the shitties reason because they were disappointed fans who wanted to make a requal
movie 1 killer: your mother fucked with my father which made my mother leave and made me downpour into madness, therefore he takes sydney's virginity to kill her as a slut like her mother, its so poetic i love it... the side characters were the most memorable because there weren't too many of them, surviors weren't fixed, so all of them grew and had evn more iconic moments than the fifth movie tikto sh1t, now i wanna sometime in future dress bloodied and say oh dear killer don't kill me i want to be in the sequal...and the girl who said this was the cop's sister who dies in fifth movie, soldifying the comedic death as tragic...

movie 2 killer: billy's mother comes around to take revenge on sydney because her mother fucked her husband and the s=daughter fuced his son,(that sounds wierd) killing him after they were the reason that their family fell apart and gale(the reporter made profit by writing a book) which validifies the fact that that she was trying to comete with gale before trying to kill sydney, the theatre scene that replicated sydney's life was actually goated and the killer starting off by killing people watching the movie based of her son's death becames valid, downpoint the side character freaking died without any screentime like the last one who showed their sweet and humourous parts...the bf was too suspicious for me too carebwhen he died, i loved the side character cotton more because in the end when sydney pointed him out to be the saviour after he was loced for her mother's death for a year really made things so much better and deserved, also showing that sydney is not a jealous attention seeking wh@re

movie 3: side character were much better than the second one, the iller was a bit lackluster but still oay, them killing cotton in the start was so freaking annoying, because he was the fourth character who survied including the main three of the firsgt movie and then by the end the main three survives... jennifer and gale's duo was so interesting and they didn't know what to do with jennifer and even angelina so they killed them, but atleast the killer working alone was goated, because more people died in this movie compared to the pothers, so freaking respectable ill count... bro really didn't want anyone to kill steal!!! the happy ending makes it a bit better than the 4th one, because it felt like a true ending, the brother's reasoning was a bit weak, but it became peak when he tried to kill the director who pushed his mod]ther to sluthood, protecting female rihghts, because bitchy diretor really said i knew what would happen but didn't help her because i had the clout, and sydney ending with the hottest guy of the series was sweet and deserved after her first boyfriend was a killer and second was killed because she couldn't trust him enough... the dobel playing of each actor was so great and made the main trio grow a lot...

movie 4: like always the killer was my first guess, this time it represented mental illness well, if sydney truly died here and the cousion villainess had a better actress the whole thing would have been better, it would have been top 2, the chick cop surving atlast was great but the fifth movie followed the trend by killing her off in the sequal because she wasn't the main three beside also killing one of the main three so pointlessly... the media scene was goated and my second favourite scene after the theatre one that wasn't comedy...

i won't speak about 5th shit, and 6th is recent and don't wanna spoil it...

we finished the scream franchise and had a lot of fun mimicking things...

Heyyyy watch heated rivalry now !!!! I've watched the first two episodes and all I can say is oh god the chemistry, I need all the episodes soon :( but it's like weekly release urghhh i love binge watching. Does the movie of umibe no estranger cover everything or is there more in the manga? if so i'll give it a read too. I liked it's movie a lot, one of the first ones I watched as a starting BL lover and i've watched like five episodes of summer hikaru died and damn it's insane.
And yeah they should really adapt more BL stuff.

Also have you read/watched Heaven Official's blessing? Its chinese and their chemistry is, if I may be so bold to say, one of the best ever written. I've recently gotten into it, watched all of the anime(2 seasons and one 20 min ONA), which doesn't cover a lot of the story, then reading the manhwa and bought the novels too- without any spoilers- I'll just say one of them waited 800 years for the other, who is a god. Please read it, your whole life will change haha. It's fantasy god stuff but damn is it good. Two yearning hot men? sign me up.
