I am an anime, manga and manhwa enthusiasts, who also sometimes shares reviews regarding manga and manhwa on Goodreads. My expectations on anime and manga/manhwa are quite high and therefore I only rank the ones higher than 8 if I actually empathise with them and think they deserve to be so high up.

10 - They are not just masterpieces, they are my favourites. Almost always characterised by being nostalgic to me and having changed my life in some way. I think about them a lot and they are probably all already re-watched/re-read by me as I tend to be obsessed with them. Would usually recommend them to others.
9 - It's a masterpiece. They are characterised by having something special to them that others don't have. I really love them, feel connected to them in some way and probably re-watched/re-read a lot of them, but not all of them. They have barely any flaws which are not noticed by me while reading/watching. I think about them a lot and I would frequently recommend them to others.
8 - Great. Often characterised by having something special to them. I really enjoyed them, feel connected to them and have probably re-watched/re-read some of them. They have a few flaws but they were barely noticed by me while reading/watching. I think about them a lot and I would recommend them often to others.
7 - Very Good. They perhaps have something special to them. I enjoyed them, perhaps felt a bit connected to them but probably didn't re-watch/re-read them. They have a couple of flaws that were noticeable while reading/watching. I probably don't think about them a lot and I would sometimes recommend them to others.
6 - Good. They have perhaps something special to them, but very rarely they do. I liked them, but didn't enjoy them. I didn't feel connected to them, never re-watched/re-read any of them and there were noticeable flaws while reading/watching. I would occasionally recommend them to others.
5 - Average. They lack originality which doesn't make them stick out to others in their genre. I either felt indifferent to them or was slightly disappointed by them not having any new inputs or insights. I never re-watched/re-read any of them, they are forgettable and have noticeable flaws while reading/watching. I would seldom recommend them.
4 - Bad. They lacked lots of stuff which made me dislike them. Rarely recommending (only if somebody has a very specific recommendation request).
3 - Very Bad. They lacked so many things that I probably forced myself through to finish them. They are not worth watching. Never recommending.
2 - Horrible. I forced myself through watching/reading them and/or I was triggered by them in some way that evoked emotions and/or memories I preferred to be forgotten. Never watching/reading again and never ever recommending it to anyone.
1 - Appealing. I could vomit just by thinking about them. You deserve all the hate and everyone who likes you will be judged by me accordingly. You traumatised me and 90% of them falling into this category triggered lots of emotions and memories. I could rant about you the whole day, but I probably suppressed my memories about the reading/watching experience which makes me unable to explain why I disliked them in the first place after just a couple of days or weeks.
