I haven't watched it all the way through since I was much much younger so I don't quite remember the ending but I'd say I'd recommend it :)

Yeah! I think people that prefer og Gundam usually like Turn A too so I know I'll enjoy myself, I'm actually on my fifth OG Gundam rewatch because I'm showing it to a friend :p.

And that's a really good question. At first, it was because I thought giant robots fighting seemed like a cool idea jdsj (I still do! Mechas are cool even without a plot). But I think it's more that they serve as a good tool to talk about things I resonate with, like humanity's relationship with war and the value of human connection. The second thing may seem a bit cheesy but I think showing the value of kindness in a conflict is important, specially if a show does it without undervaluing the gravity of the hardships the characters are going through. I think mecha shows usually handle that better, maybe it could be related to the fact that the protagonists don't really need to be that special apart from being a good pilot, so they seem more relatable and grounded in a way I can believe them and their relations better?. I say that but I also love Super Robot shows where the scale of everything is off the charts and they try to be as epic as possible, but in those cases I might like the themes of humanity coming together to overcome the odds in an spectacular way I don't know hahaha.

It's a very malleable genre (maybe mecha it's more like an aesthetic, but I mean more the tropes they share in common) and I like each show for a variety of reasons. I know I would love Gundam as much as I do if instead of giant robots they piloted planes because I care more about the characters, but I probably wouldn't have found it if I didn't research mecha shows when I was 13. What about you, what do you like about mecha shows?

Muchas gracias! Estuve algo inactivo en la última parte del año así que por eso tardé tanto en responder jajaja.

Yeah! It's my favourite franchise and I know I'll love Turn A, I'm actually planning to watch it with a friend soon when we have the time! I'm looking forward to seeing some mecha shows so maybe I'll see Aura Battler Dunbine earlier or something @_@

i mean, movies are around 2h long, and i manage to watch them... idk, i just can never find a moment where i can justify watching instead of reading 😭
vrataski_ Nov 16, 2025 5:01 AM
yeah but then it would take you like, half a year to finish anything
not to say its not feasable, but id say most of the anime fanbase watches atleast 2h of anime a day lol
vrataski_ Nov 9, 2025 10:08 PM
hahaha that's fair tbh, finding the time to watch anime is difficult
vrataski_ Nov 9, 2025 1:20 AM
well, let me know when you finish dorohedoro then. personally it took me a while because of how slow the story progresses, but if you are enjoying it thats goated

and yeah dont worry about it, no need to apologise. was just curious, really :)

hey I'm actually liking seed, its just that its way too long. i started it because it looked interesting, im never going to go through all gundam anime that would be like suicide
i recommend 08th ms team, its super short and the screenwriting is out of this world

dorohedoro is so good, the art is just something else. as per the story.... yeah idk about that

also, where'd you find my account? just curious
vrataski_ Nov 7, 2025 4:38 PM
well if i recommended anything it would be any of the manga i have sitting at an 8 or over, you should pick depending on what you like
judging from your favourites im unsure of what genre to shoot for, so itd be easier if you check out the list for yourself
maybe i could interest you in shut hell, i always love to publicise that one around, its so underrated

i still have to watch turn a. im currently trying to get through seed but to no avail lol
vrataski_ Nov 6, 2025 10:04 PM
