Yo! Welcome to my profile. Feel free to peruse my lists, and if you have anything to say,
leave a comment down below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
woa seems awesome. will give it a try, especially since it looks gorgeous!
so it's a light watch, and for someone just getting back into anime, it won't require much investment at all, since it's only around the length of a single-cour show.
that sells me! a long show isnt what i need right now, especially since time is such a scarce resource in all of our lives. what brings me back to anime is exactly how smooth it is to watch. 20 minute episodes is just too good.
i get u. its way smarter to go thru the acclaimed, already established show than to scavenge thru the uncharted territory of seasonals and see what u can get of it, which usually isnt much. that seasonal grind can be tiresome, yea, and i have never been able to get on it completely. i would just pick every show that seemed interesting (which isnt a lot xD) right at the end of the season and watch those. last one i really liked was sonny boy, if youve seen it. compelling, modern piece of fiction. even feels like literature sometimes!
thanks for the recs! ive actually watched ashita no joe, beautiful stuffz w one of the most fulfilling anime finales i know! u really couldnt ask more of it. princess tutu is another classic, though i dont remember much of it (besides the fact that it looks gorgeous, that is). sora yori is pretty good too, and cute. ill try and build the list so u can see it better but i feel thats gonna be tiresome lol
as for giant robo, im curious: what is it about? ive seen all the praises, but never really could get the picture of what it is -- its a mystery to me. how would u describe it?
and thanks for the manga recs, havent read any of those actually and most of them seem great. never been much of a manga reader. but i guess it isnt too late to start!
thank YOU for the response! just thought u seemed like a nice chill person and it seems i was right to think that ;)
hiya! hope ur doing good. randomly came across ur profile via redinfinity's (yk, that one doremi reviewer) comment section and decided to leave a comment since u seemed chill. that peco pic!
im trying to get back in touch with anime after a couple or more years away from it, even to the point of recreating my mal account. any recs for the more recent stuff?
sorry if this felt too straightforward at all! just miss talking about this stuff
I hope that you enjoy the final 5 episodes of doremi. They contain some of the most emotionally impactful scenes that I know of. Keep some tissues handy :')
Watched all 4 episodes. It’s literally a masterpiece. Every range of emotion executed to perfection and all connected. Plus it’s done in a style that only animation can accomplish. Absolutely GOATed.
Tbh I've been wanting to rewatch season 2 before starting it, but I've just been so busy that I haven't gotten around to do that. Same with Sheild Hero season 2. At this point I think I just have to get going on season 3 because I prefer watching seasonally over binged.
How've you been liking it compared to the other seasons so far?
A reboot for S&W would be best since there hasn't been any new content in over 10 years. It wasn't like the original was perfect and a reboot would give new anime watchers have an easy in. Kinda like what the Fruits Basket reboot did.
Yeah I saw that when I got off work. It was expected but still a let down. Until they fix how they nominate and how they select the winners I will continue to put very little stock in their awards.
Fruits Basket would have been a nice add as well. Nevertheless, I hope Odd Taxi takes it because I know Sonny Boy doesn’t have a realistic shot unfortunately.
No I definitely agree with you, that was my first though as well. It wouldn't have been a good look PR wise if it one AOTY. That being said, JJK cour 2 should hot have been a nominee since it's really a 2020 anime and Ranking of Kings hasn't even ended yet. I would've put Vivy and Megalobox 2 in their place.
I think a lot of people have been told to dislike Kanojo mo Kanojo. Not directly, but through cultural osmosis. It is a shame. I can’t fault anyone for hating the show though. I’m really happy you found my review intriguing.
