If you liked one of them there is a good chance you'll like the other one as well.

It's pretty obvious the character of Yagi Heizaemon from House of Five Leaves is based on the main character of Onihei series, Heizo Hasegawa. It's no coincidence that both anime take place during the Edo period of Japan and focuses on the samurais of that time. House of Five Leaves is a more slow-paced character drama whereas Onihei is a character driven action drama.
