Although Kamisama Hajimemashita and Kijin Gentoushou differ in genre and setting, they share a surprisingly similar atmosphere. Both series have a slower, reflective pace, and alternate between light-hearted, sometimes even comedic episodes and deeply philosophical moments that stay with the viewer after watching.
Kamisama Hajimemashita is more romance and modern fantasy, and Kijin Gentoushou historical and spiritual storytelling with more serious tone. Despite these differences, the emotional rhythm and thoughtful tone give them a comparable "feeling" that fans of one may appreciate in the other.
