Nanatsu no Taizai and Sentenced to be a Hero both feature characters who once served the Kingdom, but now labeled as "criminals". Despite being criminals, they're still doing the job to protect the people safety. There are many other similarities, so I think if you liked one of these titles, you might enjoy the other one!

Former royal knights of the kingdom
Framed, betrayed, or scapegoated by the kingdom
Branded as criminals, sinners, or traitors
Exiled or punished by the very system they protected
Yet they remain morally good
Continue to protect the kingdom or its people
The story questions: Is justice defined by law, or by conscience?
