Both are slice-of-life shows where the MCs consists of a serious person and a runaway girl who is not exactly a normal person as the girl is a dragon in Maid Dragon and a ninja in NinKoro. They end up living together as the runaway girl does cooking and cleaning while the serious person goes to work. Both shows have lots of funny moments as they try and fit into life in the city.

Both are comedies of two girls living in the same apartment after having met each other, with both protagonists discovering the quirky world each other lives in. The main characters in both anime have some GL subtext, as well as the boke/tsukkomi duo.
