I've never read Davilman's original material. Maybe anyone who has read can have some complaint. However, the way the series was presented to me in those 10 episodes satisfied me. I still have doubts about some people who complain about this adaptation, contrasting it with the previous ones, since the previous ones even being in the archives of the site have little punctuation, which is strange being that they try to legitimize their claim without sticking to this fact, anyway . For me this series was convincing and different from what I've seen so far.
Sometimes I get the impression that the author plays with the question of different interpretations of what are gods and demons to mankind, so as to show that in some ways mankind has revered them under various forms throughout the ages. This made the justification for the existence of demons throughout the series very interesting. Anyway, for me this series was really amazing, in the way it presented itself. Masaaki Yuasa did his homage to the series in the artistic way he wanted. His surrealistic style served well for this purpose. Although many people complain without knowing the artist he is.
