the age gap was definitely a little much, but i thought that the story handled it well. haruhi, the female lead, is easily one of my favorites and quite different from what is typically expected of the main girl in a romance manga. she is a heavy machine operator for a construction company, a total slob, a bit of a perv, but overall very mature and very determined.
as a couple, these two work incredibly well together. there is so much communication that typical misunderstandings are not a problem, making the development of their relationship smooth and heartfelt. the male lead is open about his feelings and clearly values haruhi and his relationship with her very much.
this is a great pick if you’re looking for something fun, high-spirited, and easygoing— but still included all the cheesy goodness of romance.
