I hated the first episode, really, but somehow I kept watching every week and it grew on me.
Why I liked it: mainly the art and character design, more realistic portrayal of yakuza, strong female lead, tsundere male lead, convincing chemistry between the main characters, Osaka accents, entertaining.
Why some might not like it: violence, trivializes several criminal acts, complicated to follow yakuza business, male lead really starts out badly and the first episode is designed to be shocking and repulsive (they do try to wash it off a bit later, but many fundamentally wrong things happen).
I guess one reason to give it a shot is that it's a very different (I'd say even unique) romance shoujo, and studio Deen really did a good job in terms of art and production quality.
