This was such an almighty struggle to get through, I had to pace myself over 2 weeks. What really hurts this season is how stupid the writers are; giving us like two dozen characters and have them each have motivations that clash with the season’s main story. For instance, Tokoha and Shion know Chrono has to be the one to defeat the main villain and yet they try to beat Chrono to satisfy their own egos. Tokoha’s storyline is perhaps one of the worst things about this season; achieving “her dream” of studying in Paris only to throw it all away because she was affected by the death of a boy she knew for all of 2 days (and she didn’t even know who he really was) and then kept prattling on about carrying his will (even though she didn’t know his real identity). Then there was this Kazuma character who is so unlikeable and being instantly made a member of the main cast just really hurt the show. Cardfight Vanguard started okay (with problems) and then became trash, G started trash and got much worse.
