The story is disconnected from the previous OVA. The only relation to it is that both have a princess named Flair. This time, there's a floating castle owned by an evil lord (possibly a homage to Balthus, aka JAV company Uchuu Kikaku's Studio Ghibli hentai) that's the site of a tournament that will determine the fate of the kingdom. Most of the OVA is a boring fantasy RPG tournament arc with some sex scenes and scheming in the background, then there's a silly twist, and finally, a giant robot battle with lavishly animated explosions. The story promises a grand, ambitious tale, but it doesn't deliver any of that.
Needless to say, the giant robot battle is the only good part of this. It's similar to Rayearth, but with great explosion animation and dynamic Sunrise-style posing.If you're a Rayearth superfan who wants another cool fantasy robot battle, watch the last few minutes of this OVA; otherwise, it can be safely skipped.
