Bleach (Anime) add (All reviews)
Jan 12, 2026
After years, I finally got around to finishing Bleach. Honestly, if it weren’t for the Bount arc, I probably would’ve finished it much earlier.

So, what is there to say about Bleach? First of all, among the Big Three, I think it’s the coolest anime and the one with the best world-building. Soul Society, Hueco Mundo — everything is amazing. Not to mention the characters, who are incredible, both the main cast and the side characters. The one I like the least is Chad, but he’s not a bad character.

As for the story, I liked it a lot. Many people criticize Ichigo for being a protagonist without a clear goal, but I think watching his story develop and mature with every battle he fights to protect his friends and the people he loves is really well done. That said, the one thing that really annoys me is the excessive amount of fillers — and they’re not even that good. After the Bount saga, I simply skipped all of them because that arc is horrible and completely disrupts the flow of the main story.

Another really strong point of Bleach is its soundtrack. Like, who hasn’t listened to Zangetsu’s theme and thought, “my God, this is one of the best soundtracks ever made”? The music just keeps escalating and makes the fights 1000% better.

Something else I really liked was the villain Aizen. I’m usually not the kind of guy who has villains as favorite characters, but Aizen is so cool and so well written that he easily makes it into my list of favorite characters.

The fights in Bleach are also worth a lot of praise — they’re insanely cool and epic. Ichigo’s Final Getsuga transformation is simply CINEMA.

And finally, thank you, Tite Kubo, for creating such beautiful women and for creating one of my biggest childhood crushes: Yoruichi.
