The beginning is very fun, it feels fresh and is very meme-able with some funny panels. But ultimately it suffers from the fate of just about every gimmick story - once that gimmick has run its course, it just becomes a basic story. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but for me personally it ended up the one thing I absolutely can't deal with in a story: boring.
The art is good enough and the characters aren't unlikeable, so if you end up caring about them (which I unfortunately just couldn't no matter how hard I tried), I think it will still make for a decent read. Just don't expect a subversive masterpiece.
