Culling Game is straight up abysmal dogshit and I’m tired of pretending it’s some misunderstood masterpiece. This arc feels like Gege forgot he was writing a story and just started throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks. The fights look cool, yeah, but cool doesn’t mean good. The pacing is miserable. It’s not slow, it’s not fast, it’s just constantly annoying. The show rushes past things that should matter and then stops dead to explain rules nobody wants to hear. Also goshozono's abysmal direction is really star of this shit show, mf uses abrupt cut offs from important scenes in coming off as very deep and meaningful directing but instead it just breaks the flow. Genuinely one of the most exhausting arcs I’ve watched. Cool ideas wasted by awful execution. Absolute mess.
