In my opinion, there are not a lot of animes/mangas with actual 'good' female characters. Even if the MC is a female, she is a damsel in distress and relies on the men around her.
If the woman is powerful then she has no personality
or there are just lolis everywhere.
And we are not lolis so we can't relate.
Or they are just there for the male gaze.
Or if there are indeed some good female characters, the story turns out to be hot garbage.
So this list has shows with GOOD stories with GOOD lead/supporting female character/characters.
• Female protagonist/All girls cast/The story completely revolves around the highlighted woman.
• Opinionated/Headstrong/Physically competent/self-serving women.
• Fanservice/Sexualisation is little or non existent.
• The women greatly affect the plot or steal the show altogether.
• Romance, if present, will be a subplot.
• Good growth and character development (in my opinion).
• One entry per show, inspite of multiple seasons - I'll also mention the watch order in this case.

The characters are all crystals so they don't have no real gender but at the same time it gives you the freedom to interpret them however you like. For the same reason there are no gross or sexual implications so you can just be comfortable.

Though this can't be watched as a standalone and you need to watch parts 1-5 before diving into this one. The female characters in all the previous parts are countable and forgettable but I'd still recommend every part of JOJO in general.
