▌[#04] FOURTH STACK/LIST
▌▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

You might be wondering, what's the criteria for these stacks/lists?

Well, the MC shouldn't be too annoying or an ultimate cuck who overacts around women (I know, kinda hard to find these men in anime). Fun combat, interesting world and an OP MC, sounds fun.

That said, genres might vary, since not everything has to be about fighting. Being "overpowered" doesn't mean it's always about fighting. Some people are blessed with OP life by the luck of the draw (you know, beautiful/rich people).

Kaiko sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-dai) no Slow na Second Life
TV, 2023, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Anime that does the unthinkable.

MC breaks the trope of being a cuck around women, and in a good way as well. I would recommend this anime based on this alone, but the writing is actually good enough to recommend it for the entire package.

Fun anime, well written characters and a satisfying ending. I recommend watching this.
Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu!
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
I liked the MC's backstory, but was disappointed with comedy shift all of a sudden from such a depressing setup.

I would've preferred more Battlestar Galactica like setting than another fucking mecha shite. I don't care for mechs, find them pointless, lame and boring, so can't say I enjoy that part much.

That said, I binge watched this anime, and I only do it when I'm actually enjoying the story and characters. So yes, I enjoyed it despite disliking some elements.

Tsuihousha Shokudou e Youkoso!
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:-
Cooking anime are aplenty but this one doesn't shy away from adult/mature subject matter (and I don't mean porn), which makes the whole thing far more interesting than just a regular cooking anime would.

It helps that characters are likeable (those who are meant to be) and not annoying.
The Fable
TV, 2024, 25 eps Me:- Author:9
Fun characters with some good action scenes thrown in. Art is "alright" with some weird running animations, but whatever, it's fine.

If you like shows about Hitmen/Tough guys forced to live a normal life and all the hilarity that comes with it, then this show will do.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this so much, so a welcome surprise.

CURRENTLY WATCHING..

Good visuals, and the story and characters aren't bad, so far.

We'll see how it goes as I watch it further.
Teogonia
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
The MC isn't annoying, and the show isn't shying away from showing actual killing of enemies since it's surprising how many of these shows show super powered MC's and no blood or gore.

Anyway, animation/visuals are a bit simple, but story-wise it's fun enough to not bore you. Nothing ground-breaking, but the writer knows how to write a basic progression for an OP MC.

CURRENTLY WATCHING..

REVIEW SO FAR: Animation/Art is alright, story initially was "so-so" for me, but more I watched, the more I started enjoying the episodic feel with "Monster of the Week" thing happening every 1-2 episodes.

Still have to finish watching it to see what the final rating will be (6 or 7).
Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
When I saw the first episode of this anime, I was unimpressed. The art was average, and the episode wasn't filled with anything interesting. The world itself wasn't anything special.

6 episodes in, I admit, I started looking forward to more of this. The world still isn't anything ground-breaking, but the fact that the MC isn't some pedo creep that overreacts to women around him, is exceptional with sword but not impervious to damage, helped a lot to make this anime likeable and believable.

They even throw in some antagonists who feel like they are based in "reality" of this world, and not out of place (like a lot of such shows do).

Anyway, 6/10 anime.
Shinmai Ossan Boukensha, Saikyou Party ni Shinu hodo Kitaerarete Muteki ni Naru.
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
This anime is what "I Parry Everything" wish it could be.

"I Parry Everything" turned the protagonist into a complete fucking moron, with no challenge or struggle till the end.

In comparison, this anime actually showed the MC going through hell, and even then, he isn't unbeatable.

NPC's were equally fun or well done, far better than most anime do, with some well done action sequences.
Hazurewaku no "Joutai Ijou Skill" de Saikyou ni Natta Ore ga Subete wo Juurin suru made
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
A surprisingly good Isekai with realistic romance and an MC that isn't some annoying douche, overacting to woman's touch. It helps that there is no harem, women not falling on MC's dick and he doesn't creep on kids (sorry, "loli").

Overall, severely underrated compared to a lot of trash anime out there (like Arifureta Season 3).
Tu Bian Yingxiong X
ONA, 2025, 24 eps Me:- Author:7
Probably one of the very few anime with CGI that doesn't look shit. For some reason, they do have like 5 different art styles happening in every episode, which is jarring, but I'm guessing they are trying to be stylistic without knowing which art style to stick with.

Anyway, it's entertaining and well produced, better than shit like My Hero Academia that got stale by the time season 2 hit (and has only gotten worse). At-least heroes and villains fighting in X actually feel and look good.
A-Rank Party wo Ridatsu shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyuu Shinbu wo Mezasu.
TV, 2025, 24 eps Me:- Author:5
Eh, I quit watching this anime around episode 15, it was such a fucking bore and a chore to sit through. Came back to continue watching after a break (and few episodes had been out) and episode 16 showed me why I ditched this anime.

Even though I will complete watching this (since not many episodes are left), this is just an average anime with an average world and a cuck MC who blushes like a teenager around women.. who are depicted like children (cause, Japan).

5/10 anime with nothing original. If you want to watch most sterile romance but between a cuck and his harem of women who are voiced annoyingly (at-least in English), go ahead.
Hitoribocchi no Isekai Kouryaku
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
I'm enjoying this so far, despite it feeling like the writer kinda forgot his own premise about the "loner" thing.

This isn't a ground-breaking anime, but it's way more entertaining than Arifureta Season 3, which is trash rated over 7 for some reason.

MC isn't annoying, the side-characters aren't annoying, the overall adventure/action bit works fine, nothing crazy but at-least they are trying new things (like in Dungeon in later episodes) with the plot.

I would say, 6/10 anime, maybe I'll bump it up to higher rating to counter negative votes later. This is way better than trash like "Moonrise".
Saikyou no Ousama, Nidome no Jinsei wa Nani wo Suru?
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
This shit is way better than trash like Moonrise with 6.8/10 rating on this site and script written by a retard.

At-least in this show, the story is flowing more logically, even if cliched. The MC is not annoying, has a dark past life, demons he's trying to defeat as he adapts to the new life (in other words, he isn't a flawless twat).

Really would've been better with slightly less shitty art/animation though.

I would give this anime 6/10 but will rate it higher just to counter the negative votes on my end. I think this anime should logically b e 6/10 on this site, while Moonrise should be 1/10, but alas, here we are.
Sugar Apple Fairy Tale
TV, 2023, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
Good art with characters which are not annoying. Though not perfect, I enjoyed this anime enough to not give up on it.

Honestly, I've been finding it hard to sit through trash writing in most anime these days. I can only last 2-3 episodes before I want to put a bullet in my head. I endured "A Galaxy Next Door" and "Moonrise" before I started watching Sugar Apple, so the fact that I was able to enjoy all of the season 1 of Sugar Apple and not hate everything about it, earned it one extra point instantly.

That said, I feel like the writers really had no clue what do with the theme of slavery looming over the whole fucking story about candy makers. No idea whose genius idea was it to throw in slavery while casually addressing it for laughs. Hell, most of the fairy's seem to be happy in their roles as slaves, not sure what that says about the Japanese writers.. but it sure made me lower the rating from 8/10 to 6/10 after watching both seasons.

6/10, don't talk or write about slavery when you live in a bubble. Also, the ending episodes felt rushed and very underwhelming.

A nice little twist on Isekai genre, though the same joke about the uncle being oblivious to romance, gets a bit stale fast.

Still fun.
Kono Oto Tomare!
TV, 2019, 13 eps Me:- Author:8
Fun characters who aren't insufferable with some good music on the side.

Not gonna spoil it, just go and watch it.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
TV, 2011, 12 eps Me:- Author:8
Fun anime, no fighting, but fun characters.

Also, male MC isn't annoying.
Shiki
TV, 2010, 22 eps Me:- Author:8
For some reason, this is one of the very few anime which gets "desperation" and "trapped" feeling of certain characters just right in some episodes.

Don't want to spoil it. I saw this anime a long time ago, adding it here because it was actually good.

Is it "horror"? Eh, personally I only find psychological horror effective, but I think some scenes in this anime kinda work on that level to give you a bit of creepy vibe (though it isn't present in every episode). I usually have trouble taking anime horror seriously anyway, so your mileage may vary.
Enen no Shouboutai
TV, 2019, 24 eps Me:- Author:8
Entertaining, can't say I'm a big fan of the protagonist, but the characters around him are still more fun.

Kinda feel like they could've come up with better power for the protagonist as well, even his enemies and friends/coworkers have much better combat style/powers.

Whatever, still entertaining, with good art.
Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:5
It's alright.

I get the basic joke behind it, that the red ranger is doing his own Power Rangers shtick in another world, but it doesn't seem to really pay off.

It doesn't help that they used really asinine words for his special abilities and attack and he's really insufferable (I guess that is intentional) with the talk of "friendship". It would've worked if every other fucking anime wasn't about power of "friendship" saving the day.

Anyway, I'd give it 5.5/10, you can watch it if you have nothing else to watch.
Maou 2099
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
Even though I enjoyed it, I can't help but feel this anime could've been even better.

Can't put my finger on why it wasn't exactly "full-filling". Maybe it's the whole "Demon Lord" thing that has been done to death, and never done quite well.

So maybe, if they had a new settings, protagonist who wasn't another generic OP "demon lord", this anime would've been way better.
Saikyou no Shienshoku "Wajutsushi" de Aru Ore wa Sekai Saikyou Clan wo Shitagaeru
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
I don't like the MC's art style, and there are some minor issues with animations here and there.

But, this was still entertaining for an edge-lord anime. The MC actually going after people who wrong him, and not acting like a bitch, was very refreshing.

7/10, worth watching.
Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi
TV, 2021, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
I'm gonna be honest, I avoided watching this anime for a long time for two reasons. One, I don't care about Ecchi and two, I prefer English dubs over subbed.

But since I had nothing else to watch, I decided to watch this anyway, not expecting much. I was surprised.

Is it the best story ever written? Nope. Best animated? Nah.

What it is is a good revenge fantasy with an OP MC, something which I enjoy when done right. It helps that unlike most such MC's, the protagonist in this isn't blushing and running away from women even though his methods of bedding them are.. controversial.

I enjoyed it. Watched season 1 in one sitting and have decided to watch other subbed series I ignored so far as well. Yay.

I would give this 6.5 or 7 out of 10.
Botsuraku Yotei no Kizoku dakedo, Hima Datta kara Mahou wo Kiwametemita
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
This is actually a pretty chill show. MC isn't annoying and doesn't have sexualized "kids in a harem" thing going on.

Also, I do like that it doesn't feel like a show based on opening premise only. It goes beyond and expands the world a bit, aiming for a bigger goal for the MC.

That said, the anime doesn't exactly end on a proper ending. They leave it open for possible season 2, which I despise. Start, middle and end. Do that for every season, just in-case you never get a sequel.

Anyway, 6/10 from me.
The New Gate
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:7
A fun Isekai adventure with MC that isn't annoying.

Actually, I was impressed that the writer managed to sneak in an emotional episode later on in the season, leaving me teary eyed. Your mileage may vary, but I have yet to see an Isekai capable of making me shed manly tears.

So recommending it. It isn't perfect, there are some plot holes and some issues like the MC deciding to not use his full power intentionally.. for no reason at all. But in the end, I would be lying if I said, I didn't binge watch this anime, which is something I only do when I am enjoying something.

Hard to say if I should put this anime on this list or not, but read my spoiler-free review to find out why: https://xss.now.cc/reviews.php?id=570750

I'll keep this on the list for now and maybe remove it to make way for something better, in the future.
Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta
TV, 2024, 12 eps Me:- Author:5
Ignoring the plot holes, I think the biggest problem with this anime is how the MC, despite being the "strongest magician", has some of THE most underwhelming spells in the history of magic.

Not a single spell cast had oomph behind it, nothing that would make you go "whoa" for even a second. This is why good sound design is important, along with good FX, the departments this anime fails at spectacularly.

Writing is average, gets the job done, and you can see parts where they were trying to do something interesting. But the fact that MC just feels so average, makes the whole thing feel hollow, especially when people praise him.

Oh well, 5/10. You can still watch it, I didn't exactly hate it. But I can't say I loved it as well.
Around 40 Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan
TV, 2025, 13 eps Me:- Author:-
I was expecting to hate this when I started watching it. The art is average and the premise of an MC buying stuff from online store in medieval world, isn't exactly new or unique.

The difference is, the writers of this anime figured out something crucial, something which eludes majority of anime writers.

Weakness in MC, conflict for MC and an MC who is an adult interested in women instead of children/lolis.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Someone finally figured out what makes a good story. Give these people a fucking noble peace prize.

I binge watched this, and I normally only binge-watch something when I'm enjoying it. Average anime get put on a hold and trash anime get ditched entirely. This isn't perfect, not even close. But I'm rating it based on writers not fucking up the basic premise alone by writing a dog-shit MC.

7/10
Salaryman ga Isekai ni Ittara Shitennou ni Natta Hanashi
TV, 2025, 12 eps Me:- Author:6
It's fun, not the best written, but more bearable than shite like Arifureta Season 3.

That said, it isn't anything groundbreaking for an isekai. We've seen this "guy goes to another world, uses modern knowledge to wow the locals" shtick thousand other times already.

The difference here is, the guy is using market search, PR and more, to improve a kingdom, which is a nice twist. He doesn't have super powers other than his knowledge as a salesman.

So yeah, it's fun enough, could've been better.

So far, a lot of issues with character development here, forget the animation quality.

The fact that MC is forever a child with bland emotions, and the combat is very unsatisfying without any "oomph", ruins a lot of the scenes.
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon

Average.

MC is a generic tough guy with zero personality, his "wife" is the same, if not worse.

If you're excited by people shopping for dresses and makeup or learning how to be "posh", great, watch it.
Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi

The sisters in this remind me of the sisters in "The Quintessential Quintuplets" a lot (as in, they seem to be a copy).

That said, the show is still fun and the characters aren't annoying. MC is a shy teen, but not some cuck, so that helps you not hate the whole thing.
Ajin
TV, 2016, 13 eps Me:- Author:6
One of the very rare Netflix anime crap that is actually entertaining to a certain extent.

For example, the protagonist almost ruins the whole thing while hilariously, the antagonist keeps the script far more entertaining than it would be without him.

The animation is trash-tier CG all Japanese directors are fans of. Someone tell them there is FPS higher than 15 when it comes to animation. The art style is generic with an awful blue fog post process forced on top of the image to make everything look just.. washed out. I would fire the whole studio involved in this shit.

Anyway, I can count on two fingers the amount of good Netflix anime, and this is one of those two.
