Synopsis

At an exclusive auction house in New York City, Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers, which was believed to be destroyed by a US air raid of World War II, was put up for auction. Jirokichi Suzuki, accompanied by his niece, Sonoko won the auction with a $300 million bid. At a press conference, Suzuki announces his plan to gather all seven Van Gogh's Sunflowers paintings around the world for a grand exhibition. The venue would be a purpose-built gallery in a cliff in Japan known as "Lake Rock", with the highest security and protection. Suzuki also announces the engagement of seven specialists, whom he called the "Seven Samurai", to oversee the exhibition and protect the Sunflowers.

Conan then tries to track down Kaito Kid, who supposedly steals a one of Van Gogh's Sunflowers paintings during an auction.

I tried to keep it spoiler free, only my Final tought goes into detail and give some spoilers.
---
To begin, I liked the anime. I'm a big 1412 (Kid) fan but not that big of a DC fan. So I'm only going to compare of what I've seen.
To start, the beginning starts a bit suprising, but soon after the action begins. It gives you a wrong understanding about what is going on. But that's how I like it, it keeps you wanting to watch. Everything what Kid does is weird, and even when you watched the Magic Kaito 1412 serie, you still don't have a ...

Mixed Feelings
The most recent Detective Conan film has come and gone, and this one is a bit different. Similar to the 10th movie (Requiem of the Detectives), we have our littlest detective out to protect the fine arts, though in this case, Conan must save one of Van Goh's most important paintings, the Sunflowers. Is this movie an amazing art heist wannabe, or a copied flop? Oh, and did I mention Kaito Kid? Cause yeah, Kaito Kid.

Story (6/10): After the Suzuki Zaibatsu purchases the originally thought destroyed 2nd Sunflowers painting, Kaito Kid essentially declares that he'll steal it. But since this is completely outside of the ...

This review do not countains spoilers about this movie, so feel free to read it.

I'm a huge DC fan, that's why after a good 18'th movie, I really hoped to have such a good movie, keeping all this promises, especially with a global "subject" as rich and interesting as the universe of the big painter Vincent Van Gogh.
And after almost 2hours, I've to admit that this movie was... extremely disappointing.
Let's talk about it:

•Story (05/10):
I've to say that, to my eyes, the plot is quite interesting. A strange mixture between a police universe and a paint universe caught my attention.
Nevertheless, after few minutes of the movie, ...
