Synopsis

Duchess Leticia Dorman has been betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke since age seven. She was once a rambunctious and free-spirited child, but the strict education she’s receiving to make her a fit future princess has really put a cramp in her lifestyle. Her only hope is that the prince might someday take an interest in someone else—so when Clarke shows up to a royal ball with an unknown woman at his side, Lettie is overcome with delight, presuming her dream has come true and her engagement has been broken off! She wastes no time retreating to an easygoing countryside life, but her newfound peace is cut short when the prince shows up and claims she’s still his fiancée! Clarke is determined to win Lettie over and marry her, while Lettie is determined to resist his charms and escape! Who will emerge victorious in this heart-pounding battle of wills?

I am recommending this show to every hobby writer out there... to see how hard you can fumble simple concepts. I am not even going into the whole "kidnapping" aspect which you should already know to avoid (at least if you are trying to build a romance and not a horror show). But this show is a perfect example in how to not write a story. From setups that have no payoff (like Clarke saying that he doesn't want to take Leitica away from the village she started a new life in that never results in anything), to thematic cohesion (there are several side stories ...

Mixed Feelings
Now I normally try to look at all the positives of a series and objectively rank it but DAMN, I found myself skipping through this anime because it was super cringe. Now don't get me wrong there are aspects of this show I enjoyed. I loved the initial idea of the MC leaving the crown prince after finding out he was 'engaged" to someone else. Similar to 7th Time Loop or Trapped in a dating Sim. Honestly they should have stuck with that story line and split the Princes character into two characters. The childhood sweetheart and the Prince. Had she left the prince and ...

Simply put, this was the worst show of Winter 2025. I don’t know who this series was made for, but it certainly wasn’t for me. An emotionally abusive story where no one respects the main character’s autonomy or allows her to make any choices, a weirdo prince who stalks her and a brother who enables the abuse. This is bad. The only reason it’s not getting a lower score is because Lettie was pretty, I found myself laughing at a few of her escape attempts and the art style was nice, but it’s one of the few shows where there’s nothing redeemable about it. ...
