| My god, that might be a contender for one of the worst visual vomit OPs I've ever had the sad pleasure of witnessing. Then again, tbf, the actual show isn’t much better animation-wise, so I guess it was a given that the OP would look like ass. Shame really, the song is actually good. Anyways moving on. Ripoff Urahara shows up and, for whatever reason, decides to save this bum Rudo. Honestly, should’ve just let him die, but yeah, had to "SeE iF hE waS tHe ReAL dEAl". Seriously though, Rudo is already so annoying and unlikeable, just yelling and trying to boss around the guy who literally just saved him. That scene where they were feeding him straight trash and insulting him... had a smile on my face the whole time. Then he suddenly gets this random-ass power-up and goes Super Saiyan... just because? Yeah man, great. |

| So, in the chasm, it's difficult for humans to breathe due to the contaminated air. Why am i just know this trivial detail? Rudo is attacked by beasts that were born from garbage. In terms of visual representation, the garbage monsters can be considered quite realistic. Their movements are also fluid, and the fight scene between Rudo and the garbage monsters is quite epic and cool. And also Enjin umbrella battle was good enough, it seems that Bones Film intends to work on this. So far so good 5/5 for ep2. |

| Another one of those loud screaming op, when will people learn that just screaming and not screaming doesn't make a good song. Ending theme is much better. The visuals are good for both. Enjin makes his appearance, one of those cool op badass type character. Rudo also used his giver ability. The visual effect was neat. Action sequence was good too. |

| Bro I love how metal this feels. Holy shit this is crazy. Definitely feel the fire force influence, feel a little plunderer, but it also feels unique. The emphasis on trash as a genuine plot point and ability source is cool. Start of the ep was solid with the trash monster fight, but the last 10 minutes or so were incredible. Great twists. I thought the CGI during the trash monster fight was solid. Would be too much of an ask to have them animate that by hand, but it turned out well imo. Enjin’s design feels Tokyo revengers coded. He seems like a cool character though. Can’t really fault Rudo for being so antagonistic with him given all the betrayal he went through just an hour or so ago lol. Enjin selling Rudo out and expecting him to join his group after though is hilarious. The way they genuinely played with my emotions in that sequence though. I went from thinking Rudo was gonna get killed by those dudes to thinking he’d found a little fan club, to wanting him to kill them after they chained him up again. Making him eat the leftover trash was so fucking gross bro omg. Little do they know Rudo’s had to do so much crazy shit to survive that’s nothing to him. Ensuing fight let us see a little of the power system in this world, so I’m guessing givers usually can use one special item that’s imbued with magic as a weapon, Rudo can use multiple ones? Is that related to his hands maybe? Still got a lot of questions about this world, excited for the next ep |

| Honestly, the animation is way better than what I expected as a manga reader. It's actually quite good! They did Enjin's fights scenes justice. Something I want to point out is that, in case you haven't noticed already: Rudo is not a very normal person. He is very prone to outbursts of anger, and is rather immature. He was literally too angry to die this episode. If they haven't already, Anime-onlies will warm up to him soon enough, I promise. The OP and ED visuals are interesting. I personally think they're way better than generic battle shōnen fighting air sequences; they're both animated pretty well and convey the chaos of Gachiakuta rather well. Heck, I'm almost certain they got Hideyoshi Andou (the graffiti artist behind Gachiakuta) to do some parts of it. Though, I can see why anime-onlies might be turned away by how visually jarring the OP is. I also like how creatively they are directed: the shots look quite disgusting, but I think that was the intention. The story still hasn't really begun yet, so I would advise anyone who calls this shōnen slop to either hold off judgement or explain why it's definitely shōnen slop. So far, Gachiakuta seems like your typical shōnen introductory arc because this is a shōnen introductory arc... |

| Yeah, OP is just nitpicking so he can find literally any excuse to shit on the show. "He gOt a RaNdOm PoWeR uP" that will, oh I don't know, probably be explained if you just watch another episode or two? Lol. Bro could easily save himself some time, and spare the rest of us from the cringe, by dropping it, but that makes too much sense now doesn't it ☕️ Anyway, the visuals continue to look fine, seeing Rudo and Enjin in action was fire. The CGI for the trash beasts is my only complaint with the animation so far, but first of all, I expected them to use CGI when I saw their designs while reading the manga, and secondly, complaining about bad CGI in anime is like complaining that a fish is swimming. CGI in anime is usually bad more often than it's good, nothing new. Also, and I hate defaulting to Berserk 2016 whenever CGI is in the conversation, but some of yall are deadass acting like the CGI here is as bad as 2016 Berserk. Nothing about that power up was random. That's literally the main theme of this show and they've hinting at it openly from the first episode and also explained why it happened. Actually paying attention while watching the episode helps. But then again enjoying watching a child getting ganged up on and abused by piece of shit adults and wanting to see him dead with a smile on your face says all about yourself. | Liking the adaptation so far. The beasts looked worse on the trailer honestly, so I was worried. I think they're ok in the animation. The OP kinda reminds me of Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season. Rudo's voice actor is doing a good job, I love how pissed off he sounds. |

He was fighting for his life in a life threatening situation. He is mad and wants revenge after he was falsely accused and thrown in. |

| Shonen revenge power fantasy, daddy beat me up so now im evil setting, it ends up in that situation where people are evil just for the sake of showing how terrible the world is and how bad they wronged the MC so the kids can celebrate when he beats someone up. Also, of course, as i expected he didn't actually kill the guys that were trying to sell his dismembered body, just roughed them up to teach them a lesson like a good little shonen protag. Just one more anime to the list of averages. Animation is mid, his seiyuu is good, i wish they didn't make him scream all the time. I think it's the first time im bothered by this, it didn't happen with Bakugo or Shangri-la Frontier, i get what people were saying now. And i disagree with the hobo that is Marinate that this is a dark fantasy? where's the darkness at |

| I can't..... We went from Fate/Stay Night "Trace On" to Gachiakuta "Trash On" As a cultured man once said : Anime is trash so am I. But this one took it seriously. Also, Konishi Katsuyuki's voice is still so good! It's been almost 20 years since he gave us Kamina, and he has only gotten better since then. |

| The pit is such an interesting place and so filthy. But that's understandable, after all, the guys from the Sphere throw their trash down here. Enjin looks like a cool dude. He's one of the Cleaners and took down those Trash monsters pretty easily. But he also took Rudo's test. LOL. Those guys seemed good at first, but turned out to be total assholes in the end, and Rudo doesn't understand his own powers. So, it seems like Enjin will have to take him under his wing. So, the offer is here for joining the Cleaners. But Rudo already rejected it. LOL. I'm fairly sure he'll join it soon. Really cool two episodes. The 3DCG could've been better. But it is what it is. The OP song is so awesome, and the ED is really nice as well. Can't wait for more. |

| Great! I am sort of short on words however, so I will just say the words shonen, cliche. I love this shit cant wait for them to pull out battle arc, with group of people fighting in an arena. Probably next episode. I will be categorizing these and rating this episode based on plot, backstory, theme, music, and character arc Plot: 6/10 could use less cliche but still good backstory: 7/10 uuuh it was ok? there wasnt much tbh theme: 8/10 grim world needs assurance so ppl will categorize but MC is not about that... since ep 1 music: 10/10 I really liked the opening, and the sound track had some impact to it... cant say much it was really good character: 9/10 great introduction, to villians, allies, and homies alike. but very shonen way of delivering it or for the most part overall: 8/10 great ep |
