I thought Huey was Volcott and that it was taking place in an alternate timeline, which would've been weird even for this show. Second half of the episode may have been my favorite Galaxy Angel segment so far. Volcott's song was perfection. This is the synopsis posted in MAL from Wikipedia: "Part 1: Commander Huey, no relation to Commander Volcott, has a reunion with his old command: the Fairy Unit. As the now elderly women bicker and fuss, Huey reminisces about a dangerous mission they had once embarked on and how much he misses the now absent Spiphy. As the elderly women become too tired, Spiphy arrives, apologizing for being late to the party. Commander Huey chooses to leave the other elderly women behind and go out with Spiphy." I was also confused at first (because Volcott Huey looked the same while the rest turned into grannies) even though I read the synopsis prior to watching. It felt like an alternate timeline. Anyways, the Fairy Brigade are different characters who just look like the Angel Brigade. Isn't Vanilla the youngest? Milfeulle Spiphy looked the youngest out of everyone. Part two is just a parody of mecha franchises like Voltes V, Daimos, Voltron, etc. And the "Galactic Beast" is Mechagodzilla?! |
